No...saw the video, he was going faster than anyone else was leading up to that jump, clearly the bike is too fast.We all know it was because of the bike. The front wheel wanted to go right while the rear wheel wanted to go left.

I am/was pretty darn fast but a few different things got me out of racing and one of them was taking risks on jumps like the one Griz got hurt on. I say keep them coming! Back in my prime I would have loved that kind of stuff. I shattered my hand at mount snow in the yard sale when I was in my prime and i didn't blame anyone but myself, $hit happens. It was 100% fluke, probably same goes for griz. He hit that same jump 10+ times prior to his crash.
You guys have to remember that this is mountain biking. Maybe full throttle pinned is not always the answer to getting the gold

Good lord. That sucks. One of my buddies was out there for the races last weekend. I went riding xc with him thursday night. He was telling us about that crash. He didn't know the injuries though. That's insane. That's one tough guy.

Hate to revive this thread... but I was just reading about the new x-fusion team and got to thinking about the old team... anyone know how Griz is doing now? Walking?
there was a snippet on decline a while ago with him stopping by. said he pinched his syatic (no idea how to spell that one) nerve in his leg and was having funny feeling his his foot.
