The 951 kit shows smaller rotors (6") on the brakes. I don't think I know anyone that runs the smaller brake rotors. I wonder if that's true for a full blown DH bike kit. Doesn't seem quite adequate. Definitely not for me.
their site shows "185IS" brakes for the 951
Brake Lever Lt: Sram 10 DB ELIXR BLK L/F 185IS 850 1
Brake Lever Rt: Sram 10 DB ELIXR BLK R/R 185IS 1450 1

Yeah, 185 and not 203... Doesn't seem quite right. I doubt that they will sell the M9 with 185mm rotors. I'm sure it should be the 203mm.

But I wonder if anyone else, or the guys from Intense could verify.

i think a lot of lighter riders are going towards smaller rotors, but im 225+lbs geared up and never considered anything smaller than a 8" rotor....though my new Formula The Ones have a ton of power, i probably could go smaller

I run 203 F&R. I need it to stop my 240+lbs all geared up. Rather have too much brake then too little brake

It really depends on the brakes also. I am 190 geared up and found with my Saints a 203 rear had too much power. I am thinking about going with Elixir CR then I would go 203 f/r

IH8Rice, any chance of you showing me (and a friend or 2) the trails down there? My M9 should be here the week of the 20th and theres no way I can wait until diablo opens to give it a go. I've heard of the trails down there from when they used to do that race, I just have never made it down there. I'd be looking at the 26th or 27th weather permitting. Thanks

What are you running for wheels/hubs? Are you running standard tubes or dh...or tubeless
Mavic 823's laced to hadley hubs. Standard 2 ply minions ran tubeless. I've never flatted with this setup in the rocky north east over the 6 seasons I've ran this set up.
