Contour Camera?

Im thinking of pulling the trigger and buying a helmet cam. I have been holding off for a while. I really like the idea of using my iphone 4 as a view finder..

but is it just me, when I look for footage of the Contour for comparison to other cams the goPro seems better and clearer?
Maybe I am just looking at the wrong footage but any stuff I find on vimeo is fairly weak.

I also like the Drift one. A remote would be handy.

How does the image quality compare on the Contour? Didn't see anyMTB vids that would be a direct comparison. The ones on the Drift look decent. Kind of a large unit though.

The only true comparison is to have both camera mount side by side, and record the video at the same time, then compare the 2.

otherwise, GoPro has a chest mount seems pretty cool.

By the way, I am like my Contour, although it is not the GPS version, I have a waterproof case that has it fit in. GPS version can't fit in the current waterproof case.

the differences between the drift/gopro/contour (and the quality) are really subjective. I personally think that the contour is more "accurate" with the colors but that the gopro looks more natural in bright outdoor situations where there is alot of contrast. If you have an iPhone 4, the new connect view is a little bit of a game changer. However, keep in mind that with the GoPro and the Drift, the angle of view is so wide that you almost can't go wrong if you point it in the right direction.

Moreover, you can get LCD back for GoPro, now. It comes with 4 different back "doors".

But the Contour GPS will now connect to your iPhone (Android soon) via bluetooth. You can change camera settings and set the angle dead on. It does not work as a video viewer, I think it is only a few fps, but pretty sweet nonetheless to make sure you get the right shot the first time. I have a Contour GPS and love it. They are all pretty good, you won't regret buying either one.
