Picked up some Velocity P35s laced to SRAM disc hubs from bullitboyz about a week or so ago and mounted them up to an Ardent 2.25 in back and Rampage 2.35 in front and installed them on the SnakeDriver.

I think these are the widest rims I've owned - pretty wild. I hope they hold up well. Relatively light for how wide they are. So far I'm diggin the SRAM hubs too. :thumb:

I also went with some Fleegle bars up front paired up with and old Race Face stem I got during the summer. Pretty comfy cockpit set up with this configuration. :thumb:

Looks as good as ever! Had you run that same tire combo on the previous rims? I'd be interested to hear if you could tell a pronounced difference. Oh, and the angle at which you've got those Ergons set shows what an individual thing cockpit setup is. I never could learn to love them for MTBing, and now my remaining pair or Ergons is on my mongrel roadie.

I used to have the same grips and had them pointed differently - but they were on Mary bars - with the fleegles they feel good as I've got them now. Also these are the smaller version of those Ergons and they suit my hands much better.

The shape of the Ardent is really changed - I hope to make it faster rolling actually, and the Rampage shapes out quite nicely on the P35 rims as a front tire.

With this particular frame the 2.25 is about as wide as I can go really. I'd like to try something different in back as well just to see. I never found the Rampage to be a great rear tire........good traction, but kinds slow "feeling" as a rear tire for me.

going to try to leave this thing alone for a long while. Hopefully I can do it!

Maybe it is camera angle - or maybe you tweaked the geometry numbers, or maybe it is your custom fork - but your current iteration of the SD looks a lot slacker at the HT (visually) than SD.1 does.

Did you make some Tweaks?
