How do YOU remove grips from your bars?

Just like the title says. I recently put on a set of Oury grips on my mountain bike to replace some Renthal grips and it got me thinking: how do other folks remove their grips from their handlebars? I'm also curious as to whether or not you reuse your grips. For instance, when you need to cut down your bars, would you like to reinstall your old grips or would you rather cut them off and install a fresh set?

Unscrew the end clamps.

But for non lock- ons, compressed air works really well. If you don't have that then lift the edge of the grip up and pour rubbing alcohol in there. Work it around and the grip should break free.

Pure rubbing alcohol if a compressor isn't handy. Not the 75% alcohol, that has mineral oil and perfume in it. Get the 99% pure stuff from the drug store and keep it handy. Cleans brake pads and other stuff too.

Anyway, several drops of alcohol in the grip, swish around, slide it on. Alcohol cleans the rubber on the inside of the grip leaving it very tacky. Alcohol then evaporates, grip stays on nice and tight. Works better than hairspray.

To remove later - lift up inside edge of grip slightly, (hook on a tire lever works) sneak in a little alcohol, spin grip, slide off.
