You have to think that the Leafs are done with that big win by Buffalo. It looks like the Flames are done with the loss last night but the Blackhawks are making this way too interesting with the Stars right behind them.

Fvcking Blackhawks...quit playing for the perfect shot and shoot the damn puck already. Perimeter movement onl goes so far when you dont shoot the puck. Park a big meathead like Scott or Bickel 2-3 feet out and shoot the stupid puck already. Making the last couple weeks waaaayyyy too tense...

As for the Blackhawks they are definitely gripping their sticks tight. They did just make it 2-2 and they have the tie-breakers against the Flames and Stars so I think they will be ok JohnE

I think he is wearing that because of his injury from when Brent Johnson KO'd him and broke his orbital bone. I think those helmet don't put any pressure on the check area. Anyways Osgood wants his helmet back

Hasek had his "newer" combos custom made for him in the shape of the old SK200.
Notice - the shape is the same - but he had the little side things eliminated from the mask. I think that shape is preferred as a "combo" helmet because of how round it is so pucks are "deflected" off it, vs. hitting strait on?
Hasek rocks the old Cooper mask though - different from the one Ozzie uses and DiPietro currently uses. It seems to me that the Ozzie, DiPietro mask offers better sight lines.
The mask that Timmy Thomas uses - the Sportmask Mage - is sort of the evolution of the "combo" helmet/cage set up that was prevalent in the 80s/early 90s.
I wore one of those Cooper helmets with a clear Itech facemask in College - and yes they were/are very comfortable brain buckets.
Also - The Dominator is still playing in the KHL for Moscow Spartak!

Goalies are definitely the big ?? this year. None really stick out as "THE Man..." Bobby Lu is supposed to be, Ryan Miller too, but they dont have the greatest reps in playoff time. We will see, I have faith in Crawford!

Bad turnover by Staal last night in the Rangers vs. Caps game. Wicked shot by Semin to win it in OT - big win for the Caps. Had they lost that game, they probably would have had last year's debacle against the Habs in the back of their heads. I still think that series could go 7 games.
