So, cost on a 2011 160 Van RC2 is about $150-200 more than used 2010 160 Van Rc2. X-fusion Vengeance HLR is about $100 less than 2011 Van and about the same as used 2010's.

1. Is there a noticeable reason to spend the few extra hundred for the Kashima coat over the non? Any new updates on the 2011's FIT cart over the previous?

2. Van RC2 or Vengeance HLR? Anyone have experience on that fork? Specs wise sounds awesome.

3. New or used Domain 302 U-turn with Avalanche Cart. About the same cost as 2011 Van RC2 if I buy new domain.

really torn here.

The reviews of the HLR pretty much say the same thing. Im just not sold on air forks, never had much good luck with them.

As for Kashima being so much better, to be honest my 40 feels just fine without it. I feel like if I paid the extra for a 2011 Fox i'd be doing it because its a pretty gold and not much else.

ok are we talking about parking lot handlebar pushes or riding bikes here because a fox rc2 kashima is good when riding the bike. And of course your 40 feels good...
Fox has the best small bump absorption out there and it got even better with kashima tubes.

although, dialing in small bumb compression is best with an air fork.

2011 36 chassis is totally new and lighter.
2011 36 RC2 fit cart is also totally new, easier to adjust, more reliable and lighter.
The VAN comes with three springs too, if additional cost to achieve correct spring rate is your concern
If the 2010 your looking at is 2nd hand, then going 2011 for $200extra is a no brainer. You will get all the 2011 advancements and a warranty.

vengeance=stunning
I love fox and have no problems with them, but i run the x-fusion because it's soooo smooth. It's way stiffer(mostly bc it's a bit heavier on the lowers i'm assuming). Super adjustable...I'd go for the x-fusion

I think you'd be right to pick the X-Fusion.

Other than the axle to crown height, which they're fixing for this year, I have yet to hear a negative review... If I was in the market for a 160-170mm fork, this would be my first choice.

The vengeance is an incredible fork. Super super smooth without the need for some fancy marketing gold coatings, and crazy stiff too. I actually like the tall axle to crown because I'm a tall dude and it raises my bars up to a more comfortable position as well as slacking out the headangle. It's the burliest air fork I've ever ridden and lasts a long time between needing rebuilds.

Two things you might want to consider, first , I believe the 2010 Remedy came stock with a 150mm fork therefore going with a 160mm + tall AC X-Fusion will considerably affect your geo.

Second, you mentioned you also want to buy an hammerschmitd ( someone please correct me if I m wrong ) I also believe you need iscg tabs to mount the thing and a simple adaptor will not get the job done . . .I may be completely wrong on this but thought it was worth mentioning.

The 2010 Remedy has ISCG tabs so no worries there. The added 10mm travel and 15mm A-to-C isnt too much of a worry for me. Worst case if it's all wonky pedaling up **** i'll drop the fork internally to 130mm

I've no reason why they dropped the remedy to 150 for 2010. I had a 2008 and it was fine at 160mm. I've seen a couple Remedy's running the HLR successfully so i've no worries there and I could also run a angleset in the steep position to steepen it up a bit if needed.
