Bromont Season Opener - How's the weather?

I hear the conditions are going to be crank-snapping good!
Last year it was a bit wet on Saturday but great fun. Snow forced closure on Sunday. Roll the dice, it's worth it.
Still so much snow... Doesn't look too good for opening weekend....
I am going to try and make it,hopefuly i'll have some money to put gas in my car to go

On a other note,its been raining non stop here,I pressume it to be VERY wet.
local trails are FLOODED,and the water line is higher then ever ( live near the water )
so itl be a wet one,

That's my main concern. Do you think they'll announce a delayed opening at the last minute if it happens?
I know they are planning a bike fest to go along with the opening weekend. Stop by the Xprezo tent and say hi to Antoine, he'll show you the "locals only" stuff.

Sometimes I like it when they call for rain, because that often means it'll be sunny.
Either way though, it's probably going to be wet.
Supposed to be pretty warm in the city this weekend... that much colder out in Bromont? I'll get out there with a hairdryer if I have to.
did you end up finding an industrial sized, maybe a godzilla sized hairdryer would be better
i read on another forum that there was a small landslide that took out some sections of the lower trails. some calls to the mountain confirmed it won't be open this weekend. this is third hand information, so its best to double-check it yourself, but my understanding is that Bromont will only open on May 14th.

What's the point buying a 7k$ 8'' travel bike if you can't try those fancy suspension design.
It's called being smart. Sustainable trails are better than beat up trails that have to be closed when they fall apart.

from my years of riding the openers,this is by far the best one ever.
Trails were all perfect,only a few sections of some had deep slippery grease mud,but they were marked off so you saw them coming.
There was snow on the hill none in any trail.they said they removed it the next day the ski season was done to get the trails up and going.
I forgot how gnarly some of the sections were,some deff got more eroded from years ago
all in all,great ****ing day,too bad theres a weeks forcast of rain to come.
