The UCI World Cup returns to the United states again this year in Windham, New York! This will be the only US World Cup stop and you can watch and ride with the best in the world.

July 9-10 in Windham, New York.

so stoked!!! Can't wait for July. Kinda bummed that 4x got canned, it was so much fun to watch last year, but totally understand the logistics and reasons behind the decision.

Could you please detail why the 4x event was canceled? Insurance issues? track maintenance costs? It's a shame, it was one of the most spectacular tracks last year...

"Despite the success we achieved in 2010 with the four cross event, we had to make the difficult decision not to include it in this year's schedule at Windham," said Race Director Nick Bove.

"Since our venue is a ski mountain, the course has to be dismantled for the ski season and completely rebuilt each year, making it too cost prohibitive to continue."

"This decision will allow us to devote more resources, both financial and human, to the downhill and cross country events, which promise to be even better than last year for both racers and spectators."

Pumped for this again. Sucks there is no 4X that was awesome to watch last year.

As much as I love racing I really hope that this will not be a GES event so I can focus on watching, crushing beers and blasting music.

Windham last year was a blast (even though the fire dept was probably glad when we had left :P), bummed I will have to miss it this year but I'll definitely be back to spectate in 2012. The citizens DH course was fantastic, I can't wait to ride that again either.

It was pretty sick I must say! I spent most of the 4x event on the chairlift above, riding in circles (took about 8 rides up and down) - the view was amazing - top to bottom view. Those jumps were no Joke!!

nah, there was nothing technical at all on the course.
it was a super fun course and i hope they keep most of it

i dont remember the course being that wet as it is in the video though

By the time the race began on Saturday, it was dry. It was sloppy in practice on TH and F, but not as bad as it was in that vid.

i know it dumped most of the week. eric and i rode Highland a couple of days before Windham and it was nuts how much it rained. i think we got there Friday and it was pretty much mostly dry
