i'm still rocking my budget sled, DH during the season, and lightened up AM hoops for off-season. i'll upgrade parts here and there and just buy a new (to me) frame every other year or so...dropping $4k at once isn't gonna happen for my tax bracket ;)
'07 Intense Uzzi VPX (with custom, chick-magnet, rattle-can paint job)
DHX-5- lubed with astroglide to get the full 7" travel
'08 Lyrik solo air w/ floodgate removed for DH
Juicy 7's w/ straitline levers/steel lines
transition 36 hoops
hozfeller cranks <---can't hide money!
syncros FR 31 bars - cut down to 29" so it would fit in my garage door ;)

the frame started creaking lately...even after a bearing swap...so i just turn up my headphones and the creaking magically goes away! :D

Yes, it gives up a pound to the Fox 40 and the internal valving may not be as sophisticated; but it performs well for me and RST has been very good to me over the years

Waiting for the snow to dissapear to get her out for a real spinn. A few bits I'm waiting for just for the bling, then it will be townsquare all summer whenever it arrives.

Finished up putting together my shocker last night.. Mounted the hillbilly's on the 823s set up for tubeless, surprised at how easily they popped on by just using Co2. They might be a bit aggressive for what I'm riding, but whatever.

That's one sick bike right there. What do you think about having more travel in the front, does it ride sluggish? Do you trail ride it?
Not my ride, and he's only had it out a few times so far.

The fork is what he had. I think he'd like to have a Revelation, but he's building DH bike, so using the Lyrik for now. It's dialed down to 145mm for trail riding, which is pretty much the only riding it sees. It may be up at 160mm in the picture, I don't remember.

Coming off a Sinister Gruitr, he's used to a slack bike for trail, but not quite this slack or low. He mentioned it felt a little floppy in real slow speed stuff, like weaving between trees, but once up to a normal riding speed it was good.
I'm sure he'll chime in with his thoughts sometime.

Fresh angleset action, or whatever.

The 24.4lb plastic bike for proper trail riding

The love.hate machine I've spent way too much time on this spring. Gross.

Pedaling on roads, boring. Pedaling on dirt roads, rad as hell.

Thanks. I'm loving it.

Yeah... little more wheel flop than I'm used to. Nothing that will continue to bother me with more time on the bike though. Have to admit...When we first finished the build and I sat down on it my first thought was, "Wow... that's a LOT of wheel out there in front of me...this thing is SLACK." Trail riding will be all that I'll be doing on it.

That being said, climbing wasn't an issue even with the Lyrik. The bike climbs much better than my Gruitr and, I can honestly say that I have yet to miss the extra rear travel that I had with the Gruit.... Should mention for the sake of argument, that I am also riding it with a brand new RS Monarch RC2... setting it in the mid mode.
This bike is lighter. Snappier. Poppy. As AmishMatt said, I do think that a Rev would be the perfect fork for it. But, the Lyrik is what I had from my old build. Unless something changes, it's feeling pretty good where it is when riding...dialed down to 145. I'd love to shed the extra weight that the Lyrik adds compared to a Rev. But, I may not change a thing. (as Amishmatt also mentioned, funds also now being diverted to a DH bike build factoring in... but I'd find a way to get a new fork if the Lyrik didn't feel right.)

The question was also brought up about having more travel in the front...Sluggish? Not at all. In fact, Xprezo designed the frame around a 140mm fork.
Usually I have to feel a new bike out for a bit..adjustments made, etc.... We hit a new trail that pointed down that had a few little kicks and small drops in it. Again, first time ever on this trail and first ride on the bike. I was third rider in line and didn't have the best view ahead of me... Hit all of it without a thought. That's where the slack put a smile all over my face..... Adjustment period? OVER during the first ride. :-)
Amishmatt asked, "Well?"... (I normally would mention a noticed negative about the frame, etc.)... My answer, "I have nothing to say. Which, is a GOOD thing.. this is awesome!"

If I had to mention something? The steering in the slow tight stuff would be my only "gripe".... and that's more of a, "I'll get used to that." kind of statement. Not a deal breaker for me.
If my DH build isn't finished before our first DH trip this year, I won't hesitate to take the Gamjam to somewhere like Launch Bike Park at Spring Mountain here in PA... I think that it'll rip.

Now, I'm just waiting for someone to do the same thing that I did with the Gamjam with the new Pivot M4X that was released at Otter... I'd love to ride trails with that thing.... may need a dropper post due to the bend in the seat tube for extension.. but def. another candidate for a new school trail bike....

Sorry. Didn't mean to turn the thread into a Gamjam review. Sometimes I purposely DON'T add my thoughts/comments as I tend to get long winded...
