Im not here to pick on new riders, or less experienced riders. But for the record at least they are trying. Im seeing a whole new generation of riders that dont ride dirt and simply refer to the skate park as a definition of themselves. If any of the hacks in the vid showed up and went for it, bailed, rolled the windows down, flapped the wings, lawn darts, dead sailer, bar humps, whatever, over a few sets, they would be twice as cool as the faggits standing around texting and bitching about how terrible someones elses work is and bragging about flyout tail whips and barspins. So yea, props for trying!!

I bet I can beat those guys any day of the week, not because I'm better then them, but because I suck even worse!!! But as you say, that doesn't stop me from trying, and I can still have fun. I might not be able to pull a decent 180 (and can't even think of a whip or flip), but I still enjoy riding and trying to improve my skills at my own pace.

I'm getting tired of seeing young guys wasting a ton of money to build the "ultimate light-and-blingy dirt jumper bike", asking in the forums which stem color suits best their show-only rig. And just a few weeks after they post the pics of their "finished" build, you'll find them posting a "for sale" Ad...

I might be 34, poorly skilled (when it comes to dirt jumping) and certainly not in shape, but after 18 years I sill enjoy riding!

I'm willing to be that video was made in the 90's. Without dudes like those guys hucking for what it's worth and beating the crap out of bikes, guys like Mat Hoffman wouldn't have stepped up and started their own companies making stronger parts ensuring rider safety on that end.

QTF.

Most pukes where I ride are sitting on the side of the jump areas, smoking pot/cigs, drinking a beer (under 21) and laughing that others suck - yet half of them don't own a bike or ride. At least these guys gave it a go. Plus it looks like late 80 or early 90 judging by the jump builds, bikes and clothing. Hell everyone sucked then. You just went for it. Sometimes you would land, sometimes not. Nobody had a sense of entitlement back then. Good times for this old guy.
