Some shots of Zac, Matt, and myself riding some of the new trails I worked on with Long Cane Trails in Dupont State Forest. We built some really cool fast and flowy xc trails. Go check them out!

Micajah trail is west of corn mill shoals parking area and connects buck ridge rd to Wilkie trail.

Cascade trail starts at the corner of Staton rd and Cascade lake rd and connects to Sheep Mountain trail.

Pitch Pine trail is near high falls and connects Joanna rd to Conservation rd.

You can thank Todd Branham for the layout on these trails but I might have gotten to shape a few berms and add a few booters here and there:thumb:

Rode the Cascade Lake section with Eddie Saturday. We climbed up Pine Tree to the second left and popped out at the main road, then across onto Cascade. Climbed up all the roots then rode down to Sheep Mtn.

Not sure what the best way to do that section would be. Maybe go up Pine Tree all the way to Sheep, then onto Cascaded Lake trail since it's longer and rootier as it goes back toward Corn Mill Shoals Pk lot?

I boosted the one jump with the saddle all the way up and came up short...but can hit it next time now that I know it's there without a problem. Got stung by a yellow jacket entering that cool berm in the pic.

I really need to buy a map of that place now. Got annoyed by the Forest Service's BRILLIANT idea to make the trail colors Blue??? On a map, a blue trail that crosses a blue stream is just stupidity.

Good work Mueller. Gotta get back and ride it again while it's still loamy.;)

I think you did Cascade in the right direction. It has more descending if you go from the intersection of Cascade Lake and Staton rds towards sheep mountain. Its rooty at the top end but you won't really feel like you're going downhill. If you came up to the double in the right direction you went the right way.

The other good one is Micajah, which you need to go up either Rock Quarry rd>Buck Ridge rd, or climb up Rich Mountain rd and come in on Cannon Creek trail. It's behind corn mill shoals parking area, on the opposite side of Cascade Lake road from cedar rock and burnt mtn. Its all on the map.

A good ride to link all the trails we worked on: Corn Mill Shoals parking lot, cannon creek and micajah, then pine tree>cascade>sheep mtn>high falls>Pitch Pine>Airstrip>Corn Mill>Burnt mtn.
