Impressive, nonskate videos either belong in the "The Next Level" thread or the YouTube extravaganza thread... just IMHO

Wow! Too be that creative to think up those stunts is impressive. But to actually go thru the hell to pull em off is insane. Hats off...

Plan B "The Questionable Video" (1992)
http://www.zapiks.com/plan-b-questionable-1992.html

"As the popularity of freestyle skateboarding declined, Mullen was often urged to move his style toward street skating.[8] This is hinted at in the World Industries video Rubbish Heap, where Mullen's sequence ends with team member Jeremy Klein breaking Rodney's freestyle skateboard, and handing him a note from Steve Rocco, symbolizing the end of freestyle.[9]

Rodney Mullen, 1988In 1991 Mullen joined the high-profile skateboarding team Plan B. Mike Ternasky, the owner of Plan B, influenced Rodney to transition from freestyle to street skating, and showcased the results in the 1992 Plan B video Questionable. Mullen's segment begins with traditional freestyle tricks done on flat ground, but quickly accelerates across public terrain to shift into standard street skating. In relation to obstacles, he sequences tricks, mixes flip tricks with grinds and board slides. In the video, Mullen introduced two newly invented tricks, the Kickflip Underflip and the Casper slide.

Mullen's Questionable performance may have marked the beginning of a new era in street skateboarding. His reluctant departure from freestyle to become a street skater was a symbol that legitimized the technical direction street skating had taken over the previous few years. Mullen specialized at this progression in subsequent Plan B videos; noteworthy is 1993's Virtual Reality where Mullen showcases the newly-mastered darkslide."

For all you old farts out there, there's a roskopp interview on pinkbike where they talk skating. Not only does the little retard who did the interview spell alan gelfand's name incorrectly, he does the thing that I hate most. Claims animal chin was the best of the bones brigade series. That's seriously the worst piece of shlt stacy peralta ever did. "Let's get a bunch of 20 year old skateboarders to ACT". Yeah brilliant. Literally the first bones video was miles better.

I'm not alone on this right? I remember even at like 14 or whatever I was, I got that piece of crap in the mail and then watched it a second time with a stopwatch. Less than a quarter of the damn thing even had any skateboarding in it. yech

The best place Fo Sho
This guy was the inspiration when I skated in the 80's-Mark Gonzales. He came down to NYC to skate the banks and we were 40 deep following him-holding up traffic and we watched him do his thing @ different local spots. In fact I skated with many pros from Jason Lee, shut crew, zoo york crew, natas, h street heads. These were good times!!!

Fast skaters are where it's at. If you ever skated, you know how hard it becomes once you increase the speed level.
