Specialized website doesn't seem to have any baseline numbers for the big hit on their suspension charts. I am a suspension set up idiot and prefer to start with the manufacturers recommended baseline, tweak a little and then just leave it.

If anyone can help that would be great.

Rock shox domain front fork. Stock bike, stock spec.
Fox DHX 4.0 rear fork with 450 lb spring.

Can anyone gimme an idea how many clicks of rebound, compression to start with and how much air to start with in either?

185lbs.

Thanks.

I don't sweat the small details like some of the internet bike ridering pro's who spend more time riding their mouse and their keyboard then their bike.

ooh, another smart guy.

a snide comment?

I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings?

I don't sweat talking about running my tires at 29psi vs 30psi for 45 posts at a time.

But I would like to know what the baseling settings on the bike should be. The Specialized website doesn't seem to have the proper pdf, and I am just trying to get a starting point.

1. measure shock eye-to-eye
2. get on bike
3. have friend measure eye-to-eye

second number should be 20-35% less than first number

if not, change spring
yeah, got it. already ordered a spring.

It should be here somewhere:

http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCGlobalPages.jsp?pageName=ServiceManuals

Edit: My bad they have charts for some bikes but no Big Sh!t setup info.

Here's the link to a 2010 Big Sh!t Owners Manual if you are interested (2009 was a no show for some reason)
