JERONIMO Cycles (www.jeronimocycles.com) is a small bike manufacturer located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands (Spain) that exclusively designs custom titanium frames. Someone could say that our custom hard tails are similar to other brands, and that’s probably true, but our full suspension models are really special because the system’s kinematics are custom tailored, too. That’s something that you don’t see everyday, and the main reason why we use titanium. You can’t do that grade of customization with carbon fiber.

The Jerónimo Chabardo 120mm model that you can see in the pictures uses a virtual pivot system that can easily be tuned. The lower link configuration gives us a lot of freedom, so we can play with it and adjust the amount of anti-squat needed in each case. Tall riders need around 25% more anti-squat than smaller riders, and you have to take all the gearing possibilities as well as the fitness level of each customer into account. Sometimes the difference between two riders is huge and that's why you can't make everyone happy only with one standard configuration.

The leverage ratio is a very important parameter, too. We take into account the customer´s riding style, the body weight, and the type of shock that we are going to use.

This special Chabardo 120mm model shown in the picture gallery for example was designed to fit a tall rider, not very aggressive on DH, who wanted to use a 2x10 gearing...
But anything else is possible, it’s a 100% custom design!

That's a really beautiful piece of work you got there. Nice lines, real easy on the eyes. Is the asymmetrical brace to counter brake forces on the rear stays or was the placement arbitrary?
