Only because that dude doesn't look like a homeless guy, that caption would seem to work better with this pic.

I passed a guy going through an intersection yesterday that was holding a sign the said "Family in need" As I was going by I saw his wife and young son sitting in the shade. The son looked about my sons age. It made me realize that I better be thankful for every thing that is positive in my life and stop worrying about how I'm going to pay for that new frame I want.

Over your shoulder whispering
I passed 3 druggies in their early 20's with a few thousand dollars worth of ink on their skin using their adorable dog and a guitar and an "empty" gas can 4 days in a row.

Sign read "Stranded: need gas"

The F-1 Rocket Engines used on the Saturn rockets equal 160 million horsepower, about double the amount of potential hydroelectric power that would be available at any given moment if all the moving waters of North America were channeled through turbines

Impressive fact. The live test firing of all five engines at Redstone Arsenal broke windows in downtown Huntsville.

This is now my current fascination of mega huge/and or powerful kickass things.

I'm running one in my Civic. It's not as economical as I had hoped it would be. Having a qualified flight crew to go to the store is a pain in the ass. My Rocket Scientist moved back to Iran after I scolded him for drinking the milk directly out of the carton and leaving Pistachio shells on the coffee table. Also the countdown isn't as fulfilling when you do it yourself.

Do not work in the field, just grabbed that stat from a random website. Power doesn't make much sense for a rocket engine but some quick calculations shows it is probably fairly accurate. I became fascinated with rocket engines after seeing fuel impellers being machined for the puny space shuttle engines many years ago. A turbo impeller only as wide as a dinner plate pumped fuel with as much as 25000 HP. That one solid piece of titanium took 30 days of continuous machining to make and spun at 70K rpm. Maybe it was 70K HP and 25K RPM, either way my mind was blown. The F1 engines are monsters compared to the Space Shuttle
