I will be out there with my buddy for the whole week if any of you wanted to meet up and ride. Hit me up on here and we can plan to meet up for some beer / shredding.

So pumped to finally make it up to Whistler. This is my first time after trying to go for 6 years. :weee:

I have heard the same thing, but I am ok with that. haha

Will do and yeah, I can't afford to get my bike ripped off. I will be very careful with it.

I am good enough to ride. I did a grade 2 separation of my AC joint in my shoulder a month ago and have another 10 days before I leave. The shoulder might be sore, but rideable for sure.

Anyone know anything about the taping up a shoulder? I have seen some of the pro riders doing it (most recently I saw Josh Bryceland's shoulder taped up at Windham after he separated his).

EDIT - haha Brian. Yeah, this rehab has been pretty tame compared to previous shoulder injuries. Just get a ticket and pitch on the room. =]

Just curious. Currently shopping around for demo/rental bikes for teh MMike. Not sure which route is to take.

BYOB is the way to go. Just be prepared for hotel sneakiness to get your bike into your room. Unless you're going condo...

You ever been to WBP before?

Nope. This is my first time riding outside of the USA actually. Pretty damn excited to say the least.

We are renting a condo, so I think we are good.

It has a medical term. It is called LAWD. Life after Whistler depression.

Dead serious. A buddy of mine told me about it when he went through it the year before I went. He had it pretty bad and quit riding for about 2 years.

I had it back in 2005 for about a year. Sucked pretty bad, especially living in South FL at the time. I cured it by moving away from Florida.

Ouch. Hopefully I will avoid LAWD because I live 5 min away from some of the best trails in CA (Santa Cruz). A few friends I know who have gone to Whistler have avoided LAWD because of this. Fingers crossed.

I suspect you'll either avoid it altogether as I think Acadian has, or you'll have some other medical condition to worry about. Maybe ride extra carefully for a couple weeks...:D

Haha I am taking it easy for sure. I actually haven't been on my bike in a month while I am trying to get my shoulder up to riding condition for the trip.

Whistler is awesome but come on, no place on earth is good enough to make me stop riding bikes anywhere else. That is just crazy talk. I'm a lifer regardless.

Hmmm... So is anyone riding the 6th? Or are you guys just arriving then?

Looks like I'll likely be out for the 13th... my folks are visiting.

The weather looks like it's going to be amazing this week. I feel a cold coming on...

Thanks Todd. I have a feeling I can manage to have a good time.

We are arriving Friday night (8/5) and should be ready to ride on the 6th - 13th. We leave Sunday am (8/14).

Kntr, I don't know where / when to meet yet.

Ran into Mmike and Da Peach on day 1. So funny. I honestly didn't expect to run into you guys literally on my first lift ride up.

So far this place is rad. My hands are full of blisters because I haven't been on a bike in over a month but I don't care at all. Day 2 done today, getting more comfortable on the trails and my bike. Cannot wait to shred in the morning.

Anyone want to meet up?

Hit that up yesterday actually!

Anyone else have any hidden trails on the mountain you are willing to share? Feel free to send a PM if you don't want to post.

We have been looking for Trespasser.
