OK, then do tell what happened, what was the Kokanees? Im honestly so tired of reading your candian bull**** it's not even drunk. I'm pretty sure you mentioned **** once before on here about Celine Dion hating her poutine or something a few years back, it was a bold enough false statement Celine wrote a song about it to set your bull**** straight.

Might not have been you, but I seem to remember it as such.
Oh, Celine. Poutine hater.

At least he was halfway correct with the distance. But without the proper tools figuring distance is probably best left to professionals and law enforcement. I just come here for the on-point commentary and highest integrity.

That's some topnotch coverage for someone claiming to be a news source for downhill racing.
Thats pretty funny Mr Lahey. Tell Randy I said hello.

I still can't believe an American just won the worldcup overall. I remember three years ago during Mt. St. Anne, Luke Stobel got a 18th and I was psyched. A USA rider just won the overall.

But hey, he didn't get bucked!

Brook is very professional, didn't call any attention to the bike.

So do we know if it was the linkage or the swingarm that broke? I'm interested purely from an engineering point of view, not interested in slander or ill feelings.

DW said the flip chips were in the CF and not yet anchored with aluminum and thats where it sheared.

That's gold
If you listen brook says "was that big or what?" to the angry looking french guy then when he shakes his arms brook says "you don't think so?"
Classic brook.

Pity it had a fail but they will sort it.
And it looks like Fraser told the truth so back off .
The only info he left out was that brook did a huck and something failed.

It had nothing to do with fact or fiction. it was motivation, and it certainly wasn't journalistic integrity.
Dude, give it a rest already. It was complete fact and its proven by the video. Any motivation YOU determine is motivated by you and your own motivations. Get it?

Bickering is so mature.

The Revolt/Undead linkage system has to handle higher forces than most suspension systems due to its design. I wonder if Zink had the flip chips in his bike? Anyway, thanks for clearing up my lack of reading comprehension Blackohio...

Huh? The only thing resisting those forces is the spring & damping; the leverage rates aren't very high which suggests it uses the same springs & damping setups as other bikes for a certain rider & terrain. The only unique thing about it is that the leverage ratio changes through the travel but this doesn't massively influence what spring is needed for a certain rider on certain terrain.

It will see the same forces in the same areas as any other single pivot with a linkage driven shock.

I can't think of a single bike who's leverage ratio does not change through it's travel.

The linkage system has to deal with higher forces than most suspension systems due to the extensive hate on the internet regarding it's last iteration.

The ratio change is different to others, how much of a difference this makes to traction & performance you'd have to ask DW I imagine.

The forces in the linkage certainly are higher in the Revolt/Undead linkage. I'm not talking about the leverage rate of the rear wheel or the spring force at the shock, I'm talking about forces acting on all the gubbins in between. Each little link has a force acting on it, and depending on how the linkage is designed, those forces may be not much more than the spring force itself, or they may be several magnitudes larger. Such is the case with this design, which is why they had some hardware failures in the Revolt and have decided to go with double shear clevises now.

It's nothing that can't be designed around, and it certainly doesn't take away from the function of the bike (unless it fails!).

I don't hate this bike at all by the way, I think the overall design is great. But it's only as good as it lasts...

Now that the Undead has only one linkage actuating the shock, it seems to have become more similar to every other linkage-ified single pivot. I wonder what makes DELTA (tm) (R)? Shame they couldn't stick with the lower linkage to keep the COG low, but I trust they know more than I do! :D

I have a funny feeling this might be in the wrong thread.

the Revolt only had "one linkage" driving the shock, unless you call the swingarm linkage. the DELTA just looks tweaked on the Undead and has the shock mounted on the main frame now instead of the swingarm

TM refers to trademark, and R means it's a registered trademark. It has nothing to do with whether the design itself is unique or patented, it just protects the branding.

Such good memories with that photo !!!

That was my bike back in 09/10. Now it's going to be replaced by an Undead for warranty

i grabbed it from the Revolt thread since i didnt have any pics of the lower shock mount on any of mine.

I sold mine when I noticed everyone's revolt were breaking.... But I sold it with no cracks at all.... The guy who bought it, broke it and is waiting for the replacement

I now have a makulu.... I'll be more than happy to get the undead.... I really loved the revolt performance....

From one company with ghost ownership to the next. I will not be asking for stock advice from you.
