The engineers at Yt Industries bikes has completly redesigned their excisting downhill frame in collaboration with their DH world cup racer Erik Irmisch, the development of the new frame took more than a year and has undergo some major changes on the frame.

Current Tues DH frame

New Tues 2.0 DH frame

The new Tues 2.0 replaces the current model as their flagship DH frame for the 2012 line up,still YT saids the current Tues model will still be sold in their 2012 line up but then at a mid level price range but still will counted as a top model. The headbox in the headtube area & the trumpet tube in the Bottom Bracket area increased the torsonial stiffness by 30% and the weight of the frame is now 3.9kg incl shock making it 500g lighter than the current model.

Short headtube 112mm

New redesigned drop outs

Redesigned linkage system

The new frame incorperates 208mm travel with a 267x89mm i2i shock that results in a very low leverage ratio of 2:3,also it has adjustable chainstay lenght in three stages 425mm/430mm/435mm which you can adjust. The headtube angle is 64 degrees and is angle set ready for those that mount a Cane Creek angle set to lower or raise the headtube angle.

The YT Industries Tues 2.0 will be only offered as a Downhill bike, the current Tues model is still available in a freeride or downhill version.

Looks like they're already testing the bike in Whistler. Should be a really good ride with this setup.
It's pretty awesome that a company sells bikes with boxxers r2c2 and Vivids fo about 2100€. Hopefully they keep it like that. I mean we don't need another company with carbon frames for 4000€ ;)

if they keep the prices the same, and the new frame doesnt snap nonstop at the chainstays.. this is a DH dream, cheap-ish and looks damn nice(ok this ones subjective, but i like it ) and they have a killer replacement programme.

but their warranty times suck.... so if this frame is as snappy as the previous its more of a nightmare then a dream :D

guys having seen both models (old and new), how does the rear triangle hold in twisties etc, with no seatstays support?

there seems to be a long tube (between purple circles) about 70-80 cm long, that will have lateral support only in the start, end and near the end by the shock.

i find the engineering in that very weird, as far as rigidity and stiffness of the rear triangle is concerned.

PS. i really like the design of the frame, aesthetically.

Nope, they moved production abroad. Obviously the US becomes a country that can't produce anything itself anymore besides weapons. :(

yep,ping pong welded my bike.

So I give my money into the pockets of major corporation.

All you're doing is making a case for people to be IQ tested before they are allowed online. Shhh.

my apologies for hurting your internet feelings...it was a bike shop joke...i will refrain from using humor from now on in all my posts, will NOT take everything said on RM with a grain of salt, and will overreact....

moving on..

the frame does look cool, the first version raised my eyebrow when they came out...the industry needs more entry level DH bikes. hopefully yt keeps it up:thumb:

Back on topic - Id much rather have the new canyon. For 3500euro you get deemax ultimates, fox 40s kashima, ccdb, full x.0 dh and other fancy shmancy stuff. The geo is also finally there and there are 3 cheaper options going as low as 2099eur according to dirt.

btw. p-spec you have no idea how a tw factory looks like.

here's my internet joke: you're an idiot! a bigoted idiot, who thinks being a shop rat makes him "funny"! HAH HAH HAH HAH! I'm such an internet joker!

you didn't "hurt my internet feelings." you offered racist bullschitt. whether that's a shop rat joke or not... not relevant. working in a bike shop doesn't negate bigotry and racism. lots of good riders are arsewholes, lots of shop rats don't know their own bunghole from a bunged up bottom bracket.

next time, before you assume I'm a tight-panties dillwad, try reading most of my posts here. I use more sarcasm in a day than you'll ever know in your moronic life, dipschitt. the difference is, I know how to use sarcasm that doesn't play on racist themes... unlike you, privileged shop rat whiteboy!

overreaction...
not gonna take the bait.

norbar, what is this canyon you speak of? is it available in the states?

I have some DJ buddies that would love to get into the sport but just don't have the cash to drop on most of the rigs that are out there. I'm pretty stoked that prices are coming down (ie spesh's new status). I really hope more companies follow this route.

That does look sweet, looks like they tweaked the geo a bit too as that is def not the 66 degree head tube angle listed on their site...

Unfortunately doesn't look like we can get it in the states, and if we could, the extra cost would offset the value.
I thought us had very low vat/customs taxes so why would it cost more. Order it waay before and ship it by something slower/cheaper and it shouldnt be much more. You just need some euro friends ;)

either the trails world is cheap or you had some kind of a vision malfunction. Some of them look mint, onlt the store rooms in some (not all ) are a bit more ghetto.
btw. your french english is hard to understand. what is france rlly asia?
