that was the most insane World Champs I have ever seen.
I don't think it's possible to get tired of watching Danny Hart absolutely flying down Champery, he was on fire...

you take things too seriously. i meant it more in the sense of young gunners vs. veteran racers. not necessarily riding style.
you're funny, pretending to know my mental state.

funny like girl jeans on a slopestyle hipster! hilarious!

so let's just summarize, shall we?

whenever you're wrong about something, you will backpedal with "I was joking, you're taking this too seriously" ...?

okay, got it. that's some funny schitt right there. seriously.

^ Champery, yesterday
I though he was 14 in that photo. Though seeing him live in ADH last year Im not suprised. He always looks like that. My friends who dont follow dh closely were a bit suprised giant sponsors some little hobbit (thats how they see him) but i think he shut their mouths after killing it on a track that supposedly shouldnt separate riders for the first 500-700m ;)

The only school that's ever the Winning School is skills plus confidence plus calmness plus fun. Anyone can possess those things on any given day.

Yea, one day I was just doing backflip barspins and 80 ft gaps and now I can't anymore. strangest thing that ever happened to me.

Is Danny Hart the first Elite Men to win a World Champ without having won a World Cup before?

Sam, Steve, Gee, Fabien, Greg, Nico all won a World Cup before winning Worlds.

The coverage was unreal I thought, I counted at least 21 different cameras on Blenki's run where they showed him pretty much 100% from top to bottom.

Shame we missed the first minute or so of Hart's run; I guess there's no chance of the UCI releasing that extra footage either? :(

I remember Ben saying that the organisers (champery) paid for the extra cameras themselves so its not like we have to than uci for that either ;)

What about fellow Giant rider Myles Rockwell? ...I have no clue what he resume consisted of, but I think his WC wins were minimal if at all..

Minimal for sure, but I'm pretty sure he won Kaprun in 1995.

edit* he also won a good # of NORBA Nationals in the US over the years prior to winning Worlds. And for a few years the NORBA Nats were arguably the premier series in the world.

Brycleland does have the best crashes, you got to give him that. Remember his spectacualr ejection maneuver over the final jump at La Bresse too.

Ratboy seems still to be the young gun with the skills which he is. He was on fire this year, but had some bad luck. I think it's only a matter of time until he can hold it together and will be up there with Danny 'Champery isn't that steep' Hart.

Remember him and Hart riding the 1:03 track? Pure skills from both!

Great quality.....but

Now you all monkeys should watch all other top riders runs(Minnaar, Blenkinsop, Pascal, Hill, Fairclough, Peat, etc)..to see how insane was this run.
Agreed! The magnificence of Hart's run can only fully be appreciated when you see how much the top riders struggled on that track and how it humbled the best riders in the world.

And then to see Hart totally dominate the track. Frasure's whip photo captures the climax moment of the whole season in my opinion.

It may be just another whip to those don't follow the sport, but the kid is 19 and has just put together the run of a lifetime, he has shown so much confidence in his own ability but never let it go to his head, and trained hard to get where he is and still keeping the love and enthusiasm for what he does, I think it shows in this whip - what he is feeling at the moment of this whip must be beyond compare. He's got a great attitude, such a deserving winner!

There is a sweet shot somewhere of his race run whip, but this is not it. The picture from the final run is even sweeter because you can barely see him through the mud and his goggles are coated so he is in effect hitting that section blind. Well said though. He won our race in the beginning of the year and he was awesome to watch practice. Super nice kid as well.

Are you canadian? That's aboot the only place I could put that accent ;)
Thanks Woo!

I am actually from Tucson, AZ. I have a weird accent now from speaking French and Swiss German for the last 9 years. My brain thinks in French most of the time now and I get tongue tied in English pretty often. It's bad but at least when I speak French they don't know where I'm from either.

On another note, I love Hart's whips!!!

I don't care for a photo of it. I watched it in real time and my wife, WHO NEVERS WATCHES MY BIKE VIDEOS, was glued and actually screamed and jumped back because she thought it was a horrible crash in progress.

She said his run made her heart race.

I will now keep my wife far from Danny Hart Attack.
