WTF happened in Oregon? I would've bet Deschutes would've taken it...
I'm guessing they might have picked breweries on sales. Starr Hill in Va is a bit of a sham. Their beer kind of sucks, very flat flavor profiles. I can think of 3 other breweries in a 30 mile radius of them that make better beer. Starr Hill however has done a better job of distribution.

No idea. I've never heard of Epic Ales, and I work 2 blocks away.
And I drink a lot of beer. Most of it from growlers from my neighborhood breweries.
As much as I like Deschutes, Full Sail does make tasty beer. They make a lot of stuff that they never bottle that is very good.
Going down on Friday to ride and drink.

"breweries" - Plural

This new one, which isn't on Google maps, makes 7 within 2.5 miles of my house. If you go up to 10 miles, there must be 30+ easily.
Reason number 263 I want to move to the PNW. Any engineering monkeys want to get me a job? :D

How about Devils Backbone - know somebody who works there. They keep winning competitions. I have never tasted the beer though which is kind of a fail on my side.

Live in Asheville. I can't take a step without tripping over pint glasses and fricking tasting parties. I can see Highland Brewing across the street.

The only reason I can find for us to be called Beer City USA is simply because all the breweries are within a drunken stagger of one another.

My son brought me a gift for my birthday on Sunday.

The yet to be released awesomeness from his work. He named this one, too. They make a stout that is also very good. I'm not an IPA fan, but Columbia River Brewery makes a whole heap of good beers.
