Obviously, cause it's the month of pink all over the NFL. Here's the deal...sitting here at home after 3 days at Johns Hopkins with my wife during her double mastectomy. Buy all the cute pink ribbons you want to, run all the Komen 5Ks, Avon walks, Save the TaTas stickers, whatever. Bottom line is it's a money loss for medical/pharma if they had a cure so instead of arguing with Toshi, just remind the women (and men) in your life to self exam, see a doctor, get screened, get a mammogram, eat right, prevent it all you can and just be an advocate for awareness.

Fvck Cancer.

Maryland, east coast.
Cristina Scabbia, the lead singer of Lacuna Coil had a mold made and is auctioning off her boobs for breast cancer awareness month. Pretty cool idea. :clapping:

Not to mention, she's Italian and a hottie that can sing awesome, which is a plus!

So in the past year we've done a bunch of work for The Feel Your Boobies Foundation. Started with a full wrap of the Boobie Bus, a Beach Cruiser with FYB graphics on it for a raffle and some other various stuff. Just last week the president came to me with an idea of making a cut out so people could stick their heads and hands through, to make it look like they were "doing it".

So in regards to awareness month I thought I'd post up some pics! Enjoy!

Katy Perry made one as well. I'd bid on that auction. Prolly won't win it, but I'll bid on it.

Please encourage your wife that she is not powerless. There are a number of ways for her to take control of her health and also protect your children (if you have any) and reduce your family's risk of cancer.

I raise money for the Breast Cancer Fund, an organization dedicated to the PREVENTION of breast cancer (not a cure). They fund and present clear science pointing to ways you can reduce your risk. Great website at http://breastcancerfund.org

You should not need a degree in chemistry to protect yourself or your children from risk of exposure to cancer-causing toxins, but it seems that's almost what it takes these days. At first the information seems overwhelming, but I started with one change at a time. The changes we have made in our home over the past three years include:
- no more food in cans
- no more cosmetics or lotions with PABA, parabens, or laureth sulfate
- cleaning with vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, borax, lemon oil, etc. or instead of harsh chemicals
- using only sulfate-free shampoo
- no plastics in the microwave
- BPA-free plastic sports bottles; avoidance of single-use plastic bottles

Synthetic particles that we consume or that are absorbed into our bodies often store themselves in fat cells. This is one of the reasons why women are more at risk - we simply have more fat cells, and breast tissue is primarily fatty tissue. Reducing the chemicals in our bodies is the first step to reducing our risk.

There are three times in your life you are at greatest risk: 1. before birth during organ formation (so, what your mom ate and absorbed), 2. as an infant (again, during rapid cell production), and 3. as a pre-adolescent, when the endocrine system is developing. If you have children, please look around you at the foods, sunscreens, shampoos, bubble baths, cleaning products, herbicides, etc that they are exposed to.

I'm just saying it could have been worded better. Perhaps "to fight breast cancer..."
