Morning monkeys!
Did some shooting on the Skyline Drive, and hiked to a waterfall. Had this image in my head of a spectacular waterfall with torrents of water flowing over a cliff into a serene pool, only to find someone left the hose running. I was exceedingly underwhelmed.
Today the plan is to go to Shenandoah Cavers and shoot.
Be safe out there.

Happy October 6. Kind of crazy that October 6 only comes around once a year. Sometimes you wish it happened more often.
Morning. Syd & I were productive last night. Monkeyfest shopping complete. Pumpkin bread baked. Got my bike clothes & gear packed and the rest of the packing will commence tonight (post-open house with Sydney). Just ate a homemade pumpkin muffin and it was tasty with my hot french press coffee!!!
Good morning monkeys, I actually got 9hrs of sleep last night so I'm bouncing off the walls this morning. I'm sure I'm gonna annoy all my coworkers today. Packing for Monkeyfest tonight and leaving straight after work tomorrow for East Burke VT! I can't wait for my first run down Jester 
As someone who was not that long ago a 16yo boy (well...kinda long ago).....he either:
1) Needs money

Ditto all that, well, not 9 hours of sleep, but I am bouncing off the walls, packing tonight, etc. I was thinking I would have to skip out on the DH stuff because my longer travel bike is not shifting that well and needs a tune up, but... Interviews all done (for now). Received a offer and I am negotiating with the first company now. Yesterday I had a 3 1/2 hour interview with a company and 13 people total. I would say it went really well for 11 of the 13 interviewers. The other two were the hardball impossible to please/impress type. There was also a gunman loose right near by the whole time I was there. Little sketchy sitting out front of the building waiting to be let in when you see police and news helicopters circling around above. Glad I didn't get shot. Should be hearing back from this company today...

Woot woot, I won $100 for bike commuting! Hot damn, that will buy some good beers.
I'll just be using a full suspension cause I dont have a full DH bike yet. Short day at work today, must tend to follow ups for teh pooch-a-roo. She's doing greatm btw. I love my mutts... and my family... ahhhh feeling all mushy today. After the vet I'm taking the rest of the day off to either run, ride, or go to the gym. Woo hoo!
Morning bus/train/bus is getting better. If I leave the house by 5:45, I can catch the 6:05 bus that is empty, to the airport train (via downtown, so it goes to my stop) that is also empty to the empty bus to the office. If I catch the 6:35 bus in the morning, it's packed and SLOW at each point.
Better to be early than packed.

Day two of data input. Mindless number typing all day is not cool.
The new style trains are slick and the bike hangers will fit a 3" Gozi. The old style wouldn't fit a High Roller 2.7. Trying to get a bike on a packed train is a no go.

When I was in high school I would roll out of bed at 8:20 and make it to class (most days) by 8:35 when the bell rang.This. 3 is not happening without 1. I was 16 more recently than crabjoe. 16 year old girls are shallow.

I did not nail the 2nd job I interviewed for. After the interview I didn't feel like it was a great fit, so I am not too bummed. Thankfully I do have a pending offer from another company.

I just hauled an old school 32" Sony Trinitron CRT TV from my basement to the Jeep in the garage by myself. Holy F is that thing big, heavy and awkward.
