I dont think anything will happen to the family. Hank is safe because it would draw the DEA right to Gus. It would be to suspicious. I think they are going to end the season with Walt planning to set up/take out Gus.

Walt seriously needs to calm the **** down. He is the only weak link in the equation.

OK, so I am on Season 3 and there wasn't subtitles, so I have no idea what part of the plot is doing. Who are the dude's in cowboy boots? I got that they are related somehow to the Tuco's uncle or whoever the old guy with the bell is. But I don't get the crawling in the dirt to the little temple thing and all the Mexican interaction is missing subs. I am looking for a better copy, season 2 had subs.

The guys in the cowboys are related to Hector (the guy with the bell) and are part of the Mexican drug cartel. If I remember right, they are Tuco's nephews or cousins or something. The actual relation isn't all that important, it's more just part of the plot that they work for the cartel. You will find out more about Hector and Gus and their interactions in season 4. I think the crawling to the temple just has something to do with them being religious and Dia de Los Muertos or something to that effect.

Edit: Hector is Tuco's uncle, but more like his father, as he raised him. The twins are Tuco's twin cousins.

That's what I gathered based on my limited spanglish and the interactions. I figured out why my subs didn't display (asnsi format, need to convert to UTF-8). I will rewatch the first 4 episodes again to catch what I missed.

How the hell did I miss this show? My brother said it was awesome and I should have believed him. Damn, I blew through all of seasons 1 and 2 on Saturday because the house was empty. Last night I watched to Episode 4 of the 3rd season. Damn, it gets better and better. My son said season 4 really heats up, so I will get through season 3 tonight, I hope.

Yea, season 4 is getting really good. You learn more about how Gus got to where he is and his dealings with the cartel. There is quite a bit happening between him and Jesse and Walt. It will be interesting to see where they leave it off. I still have Sunday nights taped that I have to watch.

When they hacked up the cop at the dead old ladies house, I KNEW it was coming. Man those dudes are creepy. I need to rewatch with the subs tonight for sure.

We love us some BrBa here in the 'burque, where the city and surrounding landscape are one of characters in the series. I have a BrBa set location sign hangin in the garage.

Just watched it....holy crap.

They could end the series with that and it would work.

I hope they aren't just adding another two seasons for the sake of the $$$.

Because that would have been a very tidy ending to the whole thing.
From the NYT interview with Vince Gilligan i linked above"

Q: I have to say that this season finale almost felt like a series finale, with all of the story lines that it appears to wrap up. Was that by design?

A. That is on purpose. We weren’t sure that we would have a fifth season when we were plotting out the end of Season 4. So we wanted to make the end of Season 4 as satisfying and as complete as possible, not knowing what the future would hold. Having said that, there are a couple of big, outstanding questions still in play.

So is season 5 just going to be Walt running the car wash for 16 episodes and the zany things that happen there? Mike stops by to get some blood stains removed from the back seat of his New Yorker?

I want to see Skinny Pete running the show!

I did like how Walt upgraded from the Aztec to the white 4 door Yaris. Pimp.

I think the Yaris was a rental while the Aztec was out due to that crazy truck that came out of nowhere. :panic:

Stay classy, Walt.

<edit> Still feel bad for Jr. From the Challenger to the purple Cruiser. What a kick in the nuts.

Livin it up in the O.C.
One of the best shows on a non-premium channel EVER. Maybe even vs premium channels!

Just watched the last episode last night. WOW....
I see it going one of three ways. Either Mike comes back to settle the score, the cartel tries to move in and/or he has to deal with the DEA closing in on him. Maybe all three!

How could it finally resolve? Well Walt could have the cancer come back and dies at the end. That would pretty much wrap things up.

i got the feeling Mike didnt like Gus all that much and i doubt he would stand up for him now that hes dead.
and Gus killed all of the capos and the boss of the cartel he was dealing with (who also killed his brother)

just googled it....a teacher turns drug kingpin? dont think I could get into that
That's what I thought. I watched the first episode and was hooked. Drug kingpin in a Pontiac Aztec! Gus alone is so worth it. I have to say Hector is my favorite, though. For someone who doesn't talk much, he says a lot.

Gus was the best villain of any show I've ever seen. I wish he were able to make it into season 5.

I think that Walt will end up taking Gus' place.

Gus is ice cold, the man never loses it the entire time. He's brilliant. It's a combination of the actor and character. It's a perfect fit.

I still haven't watched Dexter. It's next now that I got through this.
