It has been my experience in 12 years of mountain biking that mountain bikers tend to like beer. And they really like good, free beer.

You mean like Founder's title sponsoring the Lumberjack 100? Bells sponsoring Iceman? Elk Creek sponsoring the Wilderness 101 and Stoopid 50? It seems to work well for all involved from what I've seen.

Edit: The Brewer's Grove at DirtRag's DirtFest isn't bad either, not exactly a sponsorship arrangement though http://www.dirtragmag.com/dirtfest/brewers

ALL of our races here in Oregon have beer sponsors. In fact, Deschutes is sponsoring the huge USGP in December. http://www.usgpcyclocross.com/races/deschutes-brewery-cup

cool cool, personally i have to have my bars low low. i feel like i dont get any grip on the front with my bars higher. i think it comes from 8 years of riding DH

For sure. Rumors of shuttles and plenty of tasty beverages either this weekend or next. XC stuff starting right from the brewery now too. Come for a visit dammit.

Hopefully it's next weekend....if it is count me in. I climbed Monadnock Sunday with a bunch of the Wachusett guys and they told me about rides heading out from the brewery too. I am most definitely in for those.

Jack and I have been separated ever since. The only thing more miserable was the ride up chairlift the next morning.
