So here it is. I'm getting a great deal from my LBS on either a 2012 Glory 0 or a 2012 Demo 8 ii. I leaning hard towards one of them. I'm 6'1" and would definetly go large for the Demo but am inbetween for the Glory. How about some thoughts and suggestions to help me decide.........I have to decide by friday.

cheers

are you trying to decide between a L and XL on the glory? do you like longer wheelbases and stability on the highspeed stuff, or do you like bouncing around and throwing the bike around off jumps more?

I haven't ever ridden any of the new Glory bikes, but I have a 2010 Demo 8 which probably rides similarly to the 2011+ bikes. I really like my Demo. It is long, low, slack, and still pretty poppy/movable. However, the geo is definitely more suited for high speed stability (for example, I'm on a M with a 47" WB) which means that it's not the snappiest bike in town. Looking at the Glory geo numbers, it looks like it would be a lot more poppy/snappy than the Demo. So, if your riding style is straight ahead speed and your tracks are wide open, long, and fast, I'd say Demo. If you are a more playful rider who likes to snipe lines and your riding is more technical than fast, go Glory. Other things to consider are price: retail Glory frame is cheaper than Demo. And also, warranty: I believe Spec has a (limited?) lifetime warranty, while the Glory is only a few years.

I cannot comment on the Demo I have never ridden one or know anyone who owns one.I did ride a Glory for about six months rode over a rock that kicked up into my downtube and dented it so bad the bike was done.No warranty for that just a really expensive crash replacement.Try knocking on the downtube you can feel how thin it is.It now hangs in my shop.
Bought a TR 450 and it has been great.

I forgot to mention that I currently have a 2008 Demo (medium) with a CCDB. I put the order in today for a Large 2012 Demo 8 2. The large is the same in wheelbase to my 2008, but has a little more length in the top tube which will be welcome.
How are people liking the Boxxer World cups? I have heard they have improved since the initial launch in 2010. My current bike has a 2010 Fox 40 which I quite like. I am also a little worried about carbon cranks........especially on such a low bike.

Anybody run their new demo's in the higher BB setting?
