I know this is not the forum for this but I know a lot of you guys run this fork and I figured I'd ask some people I'm atleast fimilar with. I just pick-up a 2010 Demo with a Boxxer Race on it. I've never run a dual crown and I'm coming off a Float 180. Before puting out the money on a firm spring and upgrading the damper and rebound unit (1)could this fork work for me with just the firm spring. (2)I have a feeling the upgrade would be worth it but should I sell the fork as it is and just get a new R2C2 or do the upgrade to the Race. (3)How is the maintainance/oil changes on this?(4) I'm pretty much a set it and leave it guy. The dual crown does seem like it will be a lot stiffer.
Thanks, Don

The so call Race is a good enough fork to race on for most riders. You have the tuning you need. Just put the right spring it it for you. You can also call up Kevin at Suspension Experts (Asheville NC) and he can custom tune it for you. Much lower cost than upgrading it.

Im a big guy and was happy with the medium spring in my boxxer race until I put the AVY cart in with the firm springs. Super easy to install, came with comp/rebound recommendations for my weight/bike/ riding style. Best upgrade I have ever done, hands down.
