Happy Halloween Monkeys, this is my favorite holiday! Get to take my 5 year old son and 10 month old daughter trick or treating tonight. Little Mancil is a power ranger - Brooklyn is a lady bug - and I'm going to be Mario (from Mario brothers)

Let here what you and your children are dressing up as tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day!

School is cancelled for me too ... power is still out from the storm on Sat. I guess I can get some work done or something.

We've got power, but cable TV is out (cable internet still works?). Our furnace picked a terrific time to take a **** and we've been without heat for the last two days, yay! At least it's warm at work.

Morning Monkeys! Got the cemetery all finished up and all the lighting and sounds in place! I get to play the grim reaper this year! Our neighborhood does Halloween in a huge way. We are expecting well over 1000 kids this year. Pretty good considering we are a small town.

Not the best pics but you get the idea. Looks better in person and really good in the dark!

Happy Halloween monkeys, not one single flake of snow fell over the weekend in western NY. Tonight's agenda will include drinking beer and handing out Halloween candy. Although last year we had 0 kids stop by our house for candy so I'll probably end up eating it all.

Actually got some sleep last night and the wife seems to be making a turn around. Don't know what she got but damn has she been sick. Last year we had an impromptu Halloween party with a couple neighbors across the street. Supposed to be in the high 60's today so it looks like were going to do it again. :weee: Better go buy more beer.

I am HAPPY to be back at work this morning. They have power here, hot coffee, and hot meals in the cafeteria. We're still without power and water at home. Wife and I went to the local high school emergency shelter this morning for showers. Then I stopped for gas and waited for about 30 minutes in line, but I got gas! Guess I'll try to get some work done now...

'morning monkeys.

Fixed the car last week, threw on new brake pads and had the rotors turned while I was in there, monitored it over the weekend for any leaks/drips/low fluids, and it looks like I'm good to go. New tires are next on the list and then I should have most of the preventative maintenance taken care of for a little while.

Bills gave Shanahan his first shut-out this weekend, and Jenn made a load of awesome cookies, so I'm happy. Plus, you know, we've got power so that's always good.

Morning Monkeys. IAB & Splat, sorry to hear your power is still out. :(

Pretty good weekend. We *did* catch some snowflakes in Central NY. A friend and I played tour guide at our local trail system to a die-hard from Ontario who was determined to ride, despite the cold and snow. It actually ended up being a really nice ride. Yesterday was trail work, putting down more rock armoring for about the first quarter mile of one of our trails. 5 hulking men were able to move two 500+lb flat stones across the parking lot to form a really cool stone table at our major trail head. That was quite a feat...

Back to work today. Meh.

Snow is almost gone here on the seacoast in NH. Hampton is good, but most of the towns around here lost power and some still aren't back yet. Beautiful day to have free. I just took the dogs to the beach for a run, now I am off to the hardware store.

Good Morning!!

Beautiful Fall day out there. Gotta work late tonight, so I will miss seeing my son trick-or-treating.

Hung around the house this weekend. Changed the alternator in the Tacoma and did some yard cleanup....big excitement.

Good morning monkeys!

Man, my best friend can be a real dick sometimes.

As most of you know, I had a birfday last month and was looking at mid life crisis cars for fun. The one car that started the process sold the day before I looked at it and nothing else has been even close to interesting. So Joe closed on his country house and we were talking about his crazy commute from Albany to Salem. He said "I'm going to buy me a fun commuter".

So Saturday night I get a text "Would you buy a 350Z or a C6 Vette if they were the same price?" He had a 350Z when he cam back from his Officer Basic course in 2008 and I gave him crap for nit buying the Z06 he also test drove. Now I have been looking at C6 vettes as they are a good mid life car. But I also know they tend to run about $25k on the low end.

$16k for a 2005 with 90k miles.

LS2, 6 speed, Borla exhaust, full dealership service records. What a dick. I almost bought a 1994 LT1 6 speed for $6k and thought I was getting a killer deal. Next weekend he is bringing it up so I can go do donuts in the school parking lot with Maddie.

morning monkeeze. Bought a house this weekend. Moved in. New house rules, old house drools.

Speaking of which, check out my thread on dicky landlords. Looks like court will be in session! Couldn't sleep last night because of it....here I was all excited about our new home, and now it looks like those guys are going to drag it out and try and make our lives miserable for a little longer. I can't wait till it's through, if they weren't such dicks I'd almost say take the money and forget about them forever...but they want to fight, let's do it!

It's weird reading about snow when I got sunburned while mountain biking this weekend. It was a weekend full of parties, riding, and cheering. Cross Crusades Bend edition was a success.

It's Monday. I forgot how much of a big deal Halloween is to kids--my 5 year old was ecstatic when he woke up!
