So I completely demolished the SLX M666 brake lever on my first ride out on the new bike Friday. It looks like you cannot buy just the M666 lever, you have to buy the whole brake set. However, you can buy the XT M785 lever only. Can you run the XT brake lever with the SLX cable / caliper? Or is this total and utter insanity? It's a matter of a $59 lever v. a $125 brake set...
