There is a Scammer working around the NYC /NNJ area (maybe more) So far he Has stolen the 951 From last week and today he attempted to steal a kona stinky from me. He uses a new pinkbike username and phone number for each attempt. The phone number i was contacted with was 347-875-5867. He is mexican and used the name "luie" for me. He looks for complete bikes that are RIDEABLE. (again, maybe more)
His latest username on pinkbike is "BOLO85"
The email went like this.
"hi ..my name is luie..i was checkin d bike..and i like it ..but how about the price ..can i make you a offert.. $ 1100..USD.. "
The 951 was stolen in the Bronx, this guy wanted to meet me in queens.
The 951 phone number was 347-375-0566.
I URGE ANYBODY THAT GETS CONTACTED FROM A MEXICAN IN THE NYC AREA to be careful, uses 347 numbers and has NO IDEA about bikes. Best we can tell, he is browsing pinkbike by area.
*short, struggles with english, doesnt know bikes, prefers to meet in person (although willing to have shipped) Lowballs first, but will accept any price.
