I have a 135mm Hope bulb rear hub that is currently QR, I want to convert it to a 10mm boltup. I have been told that you have to buy a 12mm axel & then 10mm spacers, Can give me any info on how to do this?
Any pics would be great too?

Thank you for your time..........Ari

You change the axle out of the QR setup. Mine was a PITA to get out but others seem to have better luck.

Overall though it's not too difficult of a job. Pretty easy and nice insurance for a stiff rear end!

BTI has the kits I think, but if not Hope USA are great with helping you out!

The ID of the QR hub axle is excellent to run an M6x1 or 1/4-20 tap through. I've done that to mine and a friend's hubs along with a cap screw and some custom cone washers as an excellent alternative to the QR.

Sorry for bringing up such a dead thread but...I have a Hope bulb rear hub and I'm in the middle of installing it back on the bike. I just swapped out my qr axle with the Hope 12mm axle conversion kit,"New 12mm axle ,bearing and side sleeves. The axle and bearing went in no problem... My question is,I'm trying to use the Azonic Momentum 12 to 10mm bolt on axle and the old knurled sleeves don't fit the wheel now. Am I supposed to use the new 12mm sleeves with no knurles in them? What did you guys do when you converted? I just don't want my wheel to slip out in the drop outs since it's going on my new STP with horizontal dropouts.
I'll post a couple pictures in a minute... trying to get them uploaded now.

The old knurled sleeve fits on the non drive side but not on the Drive side....

Here are the New sleeves and the old ones...

This is the new 12mm sleeve and it does fit the drive side but it has no knurles on it to lock to the frame when tightened down.... Could this slip after tightening down? It seems to be the only option but once it's pressed all the way on, it won't be easy to get back off!

Hopefully someone can chime in since Hope is closed till Monday and I need to get my bike back together.
