YES you've read it right. 915 mm (about 1 yard, or 36 inches)
Someone went FULL retard with the length... You should never go full retard.

Do you guys see other brands following along with this? Anybody wants to be a guinea pig and try one out for us? ;)
At 40 gbp, it's actually at a pretty decent cost/length ratio!

I'm 180cm (5,9') of a pretty off-the-rack figure, and I find my Spank Spike 777 bars I've been using since this spring absolutely natural since the very first moment and I would never ever go with narrower bars on my Rune. I can easily imagine guys 200cm tall riding open DH trails and needing wide bars they want to cut to proper length.

I'm 6' with a 6'4" armspan and can't personally see wanting any wider than my 800mm Kores on my DH bike. Tried an 800mm bar on one of my trail bikes, had to trim it a little. More options for stuff like this is a good thing, but damn.

These are way too wide unless you have an extremely large reach. The widest MOTOCROSS bars made are Renthal's R6662 bend at 840mm, and most MX riders don't use these. The perfect number for MX seems to be around 800mm. So why would 915mm bars be beneficial for DH? They won't.

Because then you can buy them, sell them to other racers and watch their shoulders dislocate. then when you are the only one left you win

Or you can buy them cut them down to a normal width and sell the off cuts to hipsters the world over.

more like the dipstick. the only person i can think of that would benefit from the ergonomics of this bar is andre the giant. and well, yea. he's not in a situation where he can make use of them.

Jon Jones.

Bottom line, is someone out there might find these useful and perfectly adequate for an 80"+ reach. Most people, not so much, but that's what a hacksaw is for.

So as I understand it, the "perfect" bar length for any individual would be the distance between their hands when they are in a push-up position. Not the narrow push-up or wide push-up. Regular push-up position. That will give you the best combination of torque for steering and ability to absorb hits.

Did some simple math.... seems that If I were to run these with my single crown fork they would be just the right length to remove both my balls and my dick when I get the bars crossed and it nails my junk between the seat and the bars........

915mm bars are effin retarded... I am down for options but seriously.... No reason for a bar that is needed to be cut no matter what...... I can think of two riders I have fit that these would work well for, one is 6'9" the other is 6'7"

I really hope you're refering to road bikes. Who get's 'fitted' for a DH bike?

Guys that want to brag about them but never end up riding them (other than on the street).
There is a guy I see in one of the nicer areas around me with a Demo-8 all decked out with front and rear fenders. It is shiny and new (looking) despite being a few years old and I only see him riding it on the road.

There's one guy like that in my area too... He rides a polished Giant Glory (previous gen with the gloryhole) on bike paths and sidewalks. He sometimes wears all white while doing it, including white oakley gascans and a white beanie... I'm pretty damn sure the bike is stolen. Nobody in their right mind would buy a bike at that price point to do some city cruising.

I'm 6'7", and I can tell you anything above 32 for me is too wide. 31.5 seems just about perfect.
Yeah that sounds about right for the majority of people..... Im just saying there is the occasional need for some of the freekishly long armed out there

No some people have actually come to find that having another help fit... or adjust there bike to fit the rider....... Bar width, seat position, seat angle, bar roll, stem length, stem rise, lever position, lever reach ETC ETC...........

Yeah getting fitted for DH bikes helps alot too.
