The bar I frequent held a "Worst Tattoo" contest the last bike night of the year. A guy who I play pool with (I would not consider him a friend) won with the unicorn tattoo he got when he was in prison.

TheMontashu could have won, otherwise. It was a $500 gift certificate to Sailor Jerry's. IIRC, the guy who won got too drunk and lost the gift cert that night.

I can tell you i'd never pay him that amount for ink, not because it's not deserving just that his style isn't anything id get done up on me. Im not much for shaded bits, or portraits though.

Aaron is one of the few i'd pay that much to.

When he first started out (1993ish), he did this one that is one of my all time favorites. This was when he first started playing with photoshop.

The **** on my arm is hebrew, it looks fine
I don't really care if it's some klingon battle hymn, it's not good at all. The linework looks shoddy and uneven. I understand your sentiment because it is after all on your body and something that means something to you, but externally it's not good. at all.

None of it is. Seriously. Im not saying your a bad person, just you have bad art. There are no redeeming qualities about your rib piece. It's just poor art. Now if you tell me the guy tattooed you with his feet i'd maybe retract those statements. The rose is black mush.

Find the artist you WANT to tattoo you. Not the guy close or a friend. When you find the artist you want it changes your perception of it all. You'll wonder why you had johnny shakeyhands even touch the machine to your skin.

After 7 months of mulling it over I decided not to continue my sleeve onto my hand, despite really, really wanting to. Just too risky for my future career.

I have decided on doing another full sleeve, probably start next fall. Might as well start saving my pennies now.
