ive been out of town on business since the 5th. i should at least have "from the inside out" when i get home tomorrow.
Don't get your hopes up; I found From the Inside Out to be a 30 minute long yawn carefully wrapped in the usual stunning videography of Anthill Productions. There are a couple of segments that stand out but overall it felt like "a look another flip-whip on an orange bike".

Even though I had seen most of the scenes before, the NWD Retrospective got me way more pumped. So many classic moments in freeride history in that DVD!

Anyway, I have also been waiting for the Freecaster DVD. It better be good ...

NWD as a whole was a yawn for me. so i'm taking your opinion with a 10gal bucket of NaCl.

So is it rad or what?
I got From the Inside Out last week and it was only 30 minutes and disappointing. Not bad but not the shiz I was hoping for. Kenny Smith's piece rocked but the rest was kinda weak sauce. And why does it look like I'm watching most of the movie from inside a bubble? The camera distorts so many shots that I can't even tell if these dudes are going huge or if it's something I would hit.

Why dont they just put the thing up on itunes?? No need to ship, can also create a back-up copy on a disc if ya want...
Because, contrary to your juvenile bubble of self-centered perspective, not everyone has or wants an iPhone or wants anything to do with Jobsland.

Duh.

I didn't get a chance to watch it. I'll plant my ass in the couch tonight and see what it's like.

Does anyone have some salt to pour on the slug?

Why are you always talking about girljeans, fruity two shoes?
Because I think it's really ...hmmm... the proper modifier is disallowed here so I'll say #()ckin' funny -- and NOT at all "ironic" -- to see guys wanting to wear them.

You're not very smart are you? You are running the idea that I'm "in the closet" because I'm making fun of guys who are obviously in the closet themselves?

No, little girl. I'm telling them they are just buffoons, but hey -- anyone's free to be a buffoon, especially when pretending at "irony" but not having the slightest clue as to what irony actually is.

A guy who wears girls clothes isn't being ironic. He's cross-dressing, most likely suggesting a desire to swap gender. Calling it "ironic" doesn't really change that, and in the process it makes others mis-understand what irony actually is.

What's ironic is pretending it's just "irony" when it's actually wrestling with gender identity. That's hilarious!

Why are you so mad? Can you not fit in your girljeans any more?
Mad? Hah. I laugh at you with full sidebusting glee.

You'd like me to be mad so that you could imagine this is all anger.

Too stupid to sort it out, are you?

Hey, how's the DH racing in Washington DC? Where exactly do you need a Driver 8 living in DC? For posing on the asphalt bikepath?

DOOD did you see that fat dork on the Driver 8 on the Capitol Crescent Trail just outside Bethesda? He's a riot! Where'd he get those ExtraFatGirl girljeans?

I don't race. But I rode Trestle, Keystone, 7 Springs, Wisp, and Timberline all several times with that Driver 8 this year. And I think I may have actually ridden down the Capitol Crescent Trail once as well. Do you ride, or just write long-winded responses all day, following each by "duh"?

Believe it or not, I've never made it to the shed. My buddy invited me to some trail work and xc stuff last weekend with M.O.R.E but my Nomad is currently laying in a pile. I've heard good things about the DH. Is it really worth the trip if I have someone to shuttle with?

I wear skinny jeans does that mean I have a hidden desire to be a cross dresser?
Or do you just spend so much time staring at other guys asses that you have actually formed an opinion?

I can't say I've spent any time staring at guys' asses.

What makes you bring that up, Mister Closet?

dh around dc? one (two?) word:

watershed.
1 hour north of the Beltway, Frederick County.

Not exactly DC, even by Metro Regional Planning standards.

However it is the only place within an hour of DC that has enough rocks that a fully rigid 20" isn't enough bike.

Are you ****ing kidding me with this guy.

I looked at this thread to see if anyone had watched the movie yet and the Alpine Choad has already derailed it into another one of his homophobic soapbox rants.

get this guy out of here

And back on track:

How was the DVD from those who have seen it?

Mine had better come today. Or else...
I am curious to see how much original footage is in it from Rankin.

I know there will be a bunch or recycled stuff that was on freecaster this summer prior too and during each event. At the given length that is to be expected but I am hoping there is some new and fresh segments as well.

personally, i'm kinda pumped to see the broadcast footage tossed into the mix. tho i certainly hope it doesn't make up the majority of the film.

That is my hope and expectation as well.

Rankin threw some random edits from a couple events on freecaster this summer that never got a lot of attention. They were quite good so I am hoping that was just a taste of what's on offer

i saw that as well, and definitely hope that they are good representatives of the final product.

X2, The stuff that was up on freecaster earlier felt a bit abbreviated and if Alex was on the hill for the whole event filming then some supplemented warner commentary and extra camera angles will only make the dvd better. That on top of the fact that he knows better than anyone how to properly edit a MTB race dvd together should = WIN

Hook, line, and sinker...
Everyone should ignore this obvious troll and quit taking the bait. It's getting really annoying finding his insults in multiple threads.

On topic - CRC sent me an email this morning that "all items in this order have been dispatched." Can't wait to get it!

I got mine yesterday and I really miss the promised extra footage! Basicly only the highlights from Freecaster broadcasting and some training runs and interviews. I`m a bit dissapointed

how is the main feature, or is that it - just freecaster highlights, etc?

@jonKranked: What is the problem that you post this pic because I spelled it wrong or are you just bored??

The main menu consists of all the races that took place incl. WC and then you will get the freecaster race run and some additional sequences shot during practice. Additionaly to that you will get a short interview of Warner with the winner.
