So my parents brought my old pair of Technics 1200s and my mixer up (bought them out of a club in high school). Unfortunately, they apparently left one in a puddle for the last seven years. I've taken one apart, and it was pretty easy to do, so I'm going to go ahead and refinish the faceplate, but I'm trying to figure out what color or style to do it in. Any suggestions? I can also change all the LEDs while I'm in there.

How well are they working if they've been sitting in water for that long?

And if they do end up (mostly) working, but you decide to get rid of them, let me know. I'm in the market for a couple more.

well they weren't exactly underwater. just a little paint corrosion and some gunk on them. I actually plugged it in and the whole thing worked fine.

Haha, yup....I got into it when raves/techno/turntablism was big in the 90s. I was never very good at mixing, but I got decent at scratching. I never collected quite enough vinyl to put on a good show, but I had fun with it. I'd like to pick it up again as a hobby.

is that an Ecler HAK360 mixer? don't see those too often.. nice mixer though. i used to sell/work on a lot of those a while back, i worked for the US distributor of them for a while.

as far as the decks go, replace the pitch fader, the RCA's and keep the look as close to stock as possible, it'll keep the resale value higher.

Yeah, that does look like a Ecler HAK... nice. I have an Ecler Nuo 2.0

It's a 320, I believe... The year before they put in the magnetic fader. I'd love to get an intellifader, but getting working tables is ok too.
