Coors regular beer received high praise today from experts at Consumer Reports, which said that in recent taste tests, the beer was a runaway favorite.

"Looking to enjoy the last weeks of football season with the prefect brew? Coors regular topped Consumer Reports' recent taste test of beers, blowing away nine brews including Budweiser and Bud Light," said Consumer Reports.

It also noted that Name Tag and Big Flats — store brands from Trader Joe's and Walgreens respectively — beat out top-sellers Corona Extra and Budweiser.

To determine the best brews, the experts at Consumer Reports conducted blind taste tests of 10 beers — eight top-selling regular and light beers plus two store brands.

Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it's good and just because it's good, doesn't mean it's popular.

Look at Bose.

akshualee, it means both. the most popular is the best, and so is the highest quality, even though those two things may not be the same, each qualifies.

.:585:.
So consumer reports basically put all the major piss beers against each other in a blind taste test.

Congrats to Coors Original for earning the title of "Best of the WORST beers"

EDIT... also the two store brand beers they threw in the blind taste have both earn a "poor" rating on Beeradvocate.com

Yes, it is called swill beer.

I don't think your example supports what you think it does.

"They call that swill, beer."
This would seem to imply that you are telling a beer about what they call swill. Where do you envision the punctuation? I can see possible use of quotation marks as in:
They call that "swill" beer.
