My father passed away last year. At the time I was listening to Porcupine Tree's "The Incident." These 2 songs in particular:
You are not alone, I owned the first cd and liked it, though I'm not a fan any longer. I'll even go one better and admit to liking the first two or three Nickleback discs, and still spin them from time to time. Saw them in concert opening up for 3 Doors Down.

Nickelback actually gained a shred of respect from me when I learned "Side of a Bullet" was a tribute to Dimebag, and actually sampled one of his unreleased solos.

Growing up my dad didn't have a lot of time for me as he owned his own business and worked 6 days a week. I try to spend time with my kids ( I do coach baseball and take guitar lessons with my son), but sometimes feel not as much as I really can/should.
I like these threads. I almost always find something new I like.
