So i have a FOX36 with out Talas and the slack head angle on my NOMAD is killing the handleling, So I wonder if is Anyway to retrofit my fork to have a LockOut and if that is the case where do I send it and how much do I spect to pay for the transformation, Or is it better to sell it (and or keep it for something else) and buy the proper fork in the first place..?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

The lockout is on the damper side. You would need a new damper I think as well as the knobs. Same for the air spring side, new internals. I am guessing the cost is high not worth doing. Better to get a new fork.

maybe an angle set to steepen the front will help you? Or sell the bike and get something you like better? Sometimes a rider is better off admitting they bought the wrong bike, selling fast and getting something better for them. It is often futile trying make something into something it is not intended to be.

You can switch them but it's a pain in the ass. Namely because if my case is any example, it took fox 3 shipments before they sent the right parts (and yes they were ordered correctly).

You'd almost be better off just selling your fork and getting what you want.

A lockout isn't going to steepen your bike any though.

really simple if you have a Float fork?

just open 'her up and reduce the travel using the Fox travel reduction kit (plastic spacers)

I run my 36 Float RC2 at 150mm which feels just perfect on my 145mm bike, where the 160mm setting was just a little too tall

You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and money if you just buy a new fork. To make the TALAS swap, you're looking at $400-$450 for parts, then labor. It isn't hard to do, but done incorrectly and the TALAS won't work. As for a lock out on the 36 forks, Fox doesn't offer a damper with lockout for 36 models.

My TALAS 36 has a lockout. I just never use it. One thing you might want to consider is that a shorter travel fork will also drop the bb height and you may strike the pedals more frequently. When I run my fork at 120 I do hit the pedals on rocks and roots a lot.

Oh and my 36 Talas is on a Nomad. It is a slower handling bike than an xc bike but if you ride it enough you can adapt. It does descend a lot faster and more capably than my XC 29er hard tail though.
