I have the option for putting this on my new DH bike...good or bad idea? All the videos I've seen, the shock has been mounted to a AM/trail bike.

being able to modify the progressiveness is really nice although i'd rather modify it with some heavy oil volume instead of spacers (depending on the position of the shock, better seal lubrication and longer life) if possible.

it's gonna be a really awesome shock if not plagued by seal reliability.

The DBAir got a lot of show time during interbike when Cane Creek had them on a lot of trail bikes so I suspect that is why you have seen them mostly pictured on Trail bikes. They've been tested on numerous DH bikes as well though and come in sizes up to 10.5 x 3.5

The sleeve can be rotated as posted out above. Shot a short video during interbike with Devin as well that goes over that aspect a little bit. The size of the shock is similar to that of their coil shock but i'll get a more specific number.

Will try to get a list of a few DH bikes they rode them on as well as answering other questions a few of you posted in this thread.

Will definetly swap my vivid air for this when its available, seems like CC did their homework on this one.

I am exited to put that shock on my 2013 Glory. I just hope I can make it work with Giant's co-pivot axle...

I would suspect it would work as you can have the valve on the back of the can and it can be rotated freely 360 degrees. Besides that it comes down to can size which i dont really have a clue about which size it is but from the pics it looks normal.

will it work on the demo or will we have another vivid air delema?
Kurt, at this time we do not have a fit for the Demo 8 II and the DB air. The Demo 8 II requires a special eyelet to mount the shock at the linkage. For the DB Air it would mean a completely new lower for the Air can.

We hope to do this but we are concentrating on standard mounts for now. I suspect it will be late spring/maybe summer before we have something.

Thank you,

round 2 ding ding ding! its ok. now that I have my vivid air up and running well I am in no rush to replace it. If it was simple I would love to give the CCDB air a try. but this time I can wait.
