Im over here now
I'm already disappointed, here I was trying to be constructive and suggest Mountain Creek or whomever needs to counter act the negative press...and now one of those people that is supposedly involved comes back at me with the above comment. Not very professional.
how is that "not very professional??" he told it like it was. their plan went into action after Diablow killed itself and they made their announcement later in the day after you got your panties in a bunch. that alone is already 1000x more professional then the previous owners

Ok, the mystery is over and that's great. Now, will previously purchased 2012 season passes be honored? All I want is a simple yes or no.

Towing the party line.
Talk about sour grapes.

Shawn has his finger on the button tonight. From my comment about MCBP to getting booted from the fan page was T-minus 6 minutes.

Attaboy. Make it seem like 100% of your customer base is mourning the loss of Diablo and oblivious to a new dawn on the horizon.
Burning bridges as fast as he can. Will be interesting when word gets out and he's trying to launch something at Northstar. It's a small industry.

Hi Dom, hi Fool. Trail crew days 2.0
Yea buddy!

If i was still around i'd be throwing down some volunteer hours for sure. Rode Diablo twice last year and it was depressing to see how far it had regressed. Hopefully i'll make it out again this summer so I can see what the new (old) guys have going on.

So, as my first Ridemonkey post - here's the nice little email surprise Shawn sent me and a co-worker yesterday morning (edited only for profanity). I'll keep my opinions to myself for now - you can decide for yourselves what kind of person Shawn is.

In the interest of full disclosure - yes, I do work for Mountain Creek

Seriously, have you no class? No integrity or moral fiber?

With all due respect, neither of you have achieved even a fraction of the success that I have achieved on MANY different fronts yet you have the audacity to conjure up a statement like this?

“After a number of years of obviously eroding commitment and investment from the park ownership, Mountain Creek has taken control of the Bike Park with the intent to return to its roots and bring the passion and energy back to the only lift-served mountain biking in New Jersey.”

The only eroding commitment was from YOU and your d**do wielding owners! You failed the mountain biking community, not me and you BOTH know it.

I think it’s absolutely hysterical that you have the audacity to post something like this. Just the same that the Jiblab has lost its luster, and the terrain park is now a punchline in the industry…. I’m sure your crew will manage to **** up the bike park too. Your track record for failure is commendable & very consistent. What’s next?

Honestly, I used to think you guys were honorable… clearly you are two middle aged, jealous pricks that are working for the ****tiest resort in the nation… Congrats, you win!

Ps…. Heard you guys are having the worst season in 20 years! Makes you wonder…

Cheers!

Man, all I hear are crickets. Surely someone out there knows. Pedaldamnit, Downhillbiker23, jonKranked, Demo9, you guys seem to have the inside scoop. Any info would be appreciated.

If they don't honor them, it will really make the mountain look bad!
technically they (mt creek) have no obligation to honor them, as the season passes were a business transaction with diablo freeride park, which no longer has any affiliation with the mountain. but they are going to honor them anyways to help build a good relationship with the mountain biking community. because they actually care about mountain biking.

Brian, thank you for your invaluable contributions to this thread.

Ken you are gnarly, I will be over your house when the ground thaws to dig some jumps and drink beers.

Doug, that's an interesting new look you have, Why did you park your truck in that tree?

FYI: There have been no official announcements made in regards to honoring Diablo season passes as of yet... This is one of the more complicated situations we are dealing with at the moment. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page for the most up to date information as it becomes available. Thanks!

Oh, you mean the article by everyone's buddy Shaun, the guy everyone loves and reveres? Oh, so now we are to believe that one? As far as this forum goes, quote me where it is definitely stated that season passes will be honored, and that would be in a post after it was stated that Mountain Creek Bike Park will be taking over. Go ahead, pull your rabbit out of the hat.
