Cru - yeah, I figured that place had some boost. Is Eliot on a 24"? Thought he rode 20" in the older pics I saw.
Yeah, he's riding a Liquid now. It's actually my old one (with bling everything)... that thing is such a cheater bike... he blasts twice as high as he did on his old 20. haha

hey hey now youre making all us liquid riders look bad
I'm not so certain about the looking bad bit there clubber, Cru's statement made me think 'hmmmm, I sure could use a cheater bike that let me blast twice as high as I do now....'

If your roasting, I don't care what bike you are on. And for that matter, if I'm roasting, I don't care what kind of bike I'm on...... 24 eh..... might have to ask my bud to try out his zeitgeist.

pnj - packed dirt with leaves sprinkled on top always looks good! Love how you guys cut into the wall on the right side - looks like you moved some soil!

that 'wall' in the last pic is actually an old growth stump. The picture before that is a HUGE hole in the ground, where the good dirt lives. Here's another angle of said hole...

and one of our last jam of the season..

That's Peynier right? Place looks so good. They do a great job working with what looks to be mostly sand.
yeeeap. I should have put origin/credits for where the photo came from as it wasn't mine. I didn't realize their soil was sandy..... it doesn't look that sandy in building pics and vids, but I've never been.

The fam and I are actually thinking about hitting up paris this spring or next, and I haven't figured out a way to break it to my wife that I want to bring my bike and take a little 1,500 km detour while we're 'in the neighborhood'.

I certainly have never been but and it might not be sandy but all the pics and vids I've seen, it looks pretty dry and loose: http://www.veloup.com/ebay/2011dec/prettyhady/DSC_0213.JPG

Regardlees of what soil type they have, they have some beautiful looking trails. That will be read if your family and you go over there next spring. Even if you can't do the 1,500km detour I bet there is some dirt to ride nearer to Paris.

Hey fellas, so my little spot I was working on in Oxnard got plowed, but I learned of/found the kimball jumps in Ventura, looks like a work in progress but I haven't run into anyone down there yet. I want to help with this spot, if anyone on here is involved and you need help, let me know.

That's my old spot. Haven't been there in awhile. It's a very hard spot to maintain with so much traffic and limited water. Feel free to try to get it running if you're up for it.

Cool, thanks. Yeah noticed a lot of trash and camp fire remnants, have a couple friends interested in getting it rideable so we'll see what happens.

Trails is trips like this! I also make my glorious video debut at 12:07, notably similar to my glorious bmx magazine debut in spring of '11 in that it involves me, a shovel, and thats about it :).
Great vid! That is trails right there - either driving to some place and riding with locals or having some heads drop in to your spot.

Trails look real good Mutt. Glad to see those guys helping out with the shovel and broom.

Only thing I think trail visitors should add is get a clip of the locals and put them in the vid too (that is if they want it).

Yeah, I'm with you Don, I think its critical to throw in locals and their names (I mean geez, look at me, psyched to be shown resurfacing a pit), but in this case I don't have any problems with how it all went down. And to the Sunday crew, this is their livelihood, they need to push out awareness of their brand and crew and that is, and should be, their priority. Plus our local crew turnout wasn't so strong owing to the weather and timing.

The weather was ****e, big surprise for 2011, and there was a small window of time on one or two weekdays where things were actually rideable. And their crew was good people and respectful of the trails (eg. check Aaron fixing his back hacks around 14:40).

It was a compliment I think that they put in some work to get the two lines running which are in the vid and keep them dry when the sporadic rains hit. Instead of seeing all the different lines and saying wow, this looks fun, too bad its wet and not running and hitting a bar or their van, they wanted to ride what they saw, picked lines which were more serviceable and of interest and helped make that happen.

Plus they threw me in doing what I do, and one of our crew riding briefly, Ryan, at 13:46 and 14:23-30 in the back.

little kids cut a notch in this berm and cut the lip down...
they also cut another five foot tall lip in half (sideways, not height wise...)

yeah, unfortunately, that is trails too.

last year some kids carved out a 1 foot high roller to make about a 6 inch lip.... no joke. I think it might have been the smallest lip in the world, with the worst transition ever. I would rather hit up a parking block. sometimes, things just don't make sense.
