Funny.......last Saturday night I was out at the bars in Boston with my NF softshell.........I felt like a tool until I remembered the weekend before I was up climbing in the Whites with it.
I had some self righteous prick give me crap about sporting a Mountain Hardware jacket in a bar just the other week. I promptly listed about 2 months worth of multi-night trips in the back country where it was my primary source of warmth. I'm coming to the conclusion that it may be indestructible and possibly bullet proof. I temporarily lost it when I gave it up to a woman who was being carried off Old Rag with a head injury. Through a strange series of events it made back to me through the ER.

11 years of living in virginia....never went up it once.

i am disappoint.
Always had a love hate relationship with it. It is a really fun hike and with all the rocks it is one of the few places on the east coast where you can hike along a ridge without the forest limiting your view. But there are throngs of people. So many are too fat and worthless to make it to the top and just get in the way.

Front Range, dude...
The difference is the MH makes nice stuff. NF sold out 10yrs ago and is now the domain of sorority girls and people who buy their ski gear at GI Joes.
I am still a sucker for North Face tho...I cruise FleaBay for old stuff like it was crack. My commuter jacket is a NF Anorak soaked in Nikwax. Good peice of gear...MH is overpriced IMHO, doesnt off set the cool factor for me. Not unlike Marmot...

^^^ so what? they're educated @ same universities, have same contacts, etc.
They forgot Justice Clarence Thomas/Monsanto Lawyer who needs to recuse himself on Monsanto related cases. Insider trading of government officials is current topic which is relevant too.
The thing is the usuall scenario is - you are good to the company and listen to the lobbies and you get a job. Not every politician is a good manager, hell most of them aren't. Not to mention do you really feel it's ok that the companies with the most leverage and the govt are basicly the same people?
Take it to PaWN and get with the pics...
