Anybody have anytime in the high roller II? How does it compare with the original high rollers and minion? Looks like it will shed mud good and corners well.

Best cornering tire I have ridden yet, raced too. It was like the original High Roller, but without that drifty spot when leaning slightly. Cant say for the mud though.

Ive been thinking about giving them a try. I just love the DHF on the front and rear. What other combos of the DHF and HR have people run?

I've had the high roller II for around 5 months now. I love them. They roll as fast or faster than the original, Cornering is even better, no more sketchy middle ground when rolling over into a turn, Braking is great. They shed mud well. Not like a mud tire but you could definitely get away with running it when its slightly mucky or when the track is drying out. I run them F/R. Couldn't be happier with them. Going to put my minion DHF on the rear when things start to dry out more. I'll post up how that combo works.

I rode a set for the 12 hour race at Angel Fire, with conditions ranging from deep mud and snow, to dusty and dry at the bottom. I was running the less soft formula, and they worked well through the entire event. I just took them out again yesterday in some steep and icy, and they are still hooking up. I am not a pro, just an average rider who loved high rollers.

so I am a pretty dedicated DHF guy here for my dh bike...pretty dedicated High Roller rider on my trail bike.

Our dh trails get pretty buffed and dry around here in the summer and always felt the DHF might be a bit 'tall' into some of the dry harder stuff...what setups are you DHR fans running with the HRII? I was thinking front and rear? Then Only rear...And now im hearing Only front...Starting to go crazy...

Also at the 2.4 width are they noticeably narrower than the DHFs? The 2.5 DHF has always been about as narrow as I like to go...

Yeah I'd stick with the DHFs for more hardpack. Bigger blockier knobs do better on that stuff because they don't fold over as easily.

Soft conditions lend themselves to more compliant designs better.

The sizing is a pretty true 2.4 casing. It's bigger than the 'old' 2.5 sizing.

Good to know, they are a bit larger. The high roller 2.3 xc ish tire absolutely rules the dry summer conditions here (and transition seasons for that matter) that was the motivation for running it on the dh bike. But, if it aint broke with the DHF's...

I'm waiting for the Super-Tacky version of the 2.4 High Roller 2 to come out (apparently this month).
