it just blows my mind why any one would spend that much money on trussed dana 60's with 4 wheel hydro steer and 4 linked all the way around and simply bolt the coil overs to the frame with out any gusseted boxing

Watch the second video in post #4, the lower bolts for the coils are in single shear, plus has both coils mounted on it. It was destined to fail.
Exactly, even funnier that it was something so small. I have jumped teh s10 higher and harder than that with no worries.

I think the KYB's on my xterra have more shock stroke than that thing. I too have aired out the xterra on much larger than that (not on purpose), but landed and kept going. A whole lotta
