If you ride in any wet weather I would give them a pass.It feels like you are braking with two hand fulls of gravel squeezing the rotor.

The clarks gold are real strong...used on my xt shimanos. was very impressed even though they had less pad surface area than stock.

I had them on my Formula The One and although they have a different shape like the original pads resulting in a smaller braking surface I didn't notice a difference. Had to take of the paint at the back though, thei're pretty thick.

I used the Clarks Carbon pads with my Juicy 7's a few years ago. I was really impressed, good stopping power and much less heat build up than the stock pads.

Clarke's pads like a lot of the aftermarket pads, are all coming out of the same 3 factories in TW (this includes Superstar and OE pads from Avid, etc.)

EDC in Europe is a little different in that they actually manufacturer their pads, as well as applying pad material to the backing plates that Hope manufacture and send to EDC for "hope" original brake pads

take your pick, pay the price...

only issue I have noticed with Clarke's, Fibrax, Superstar, etc. is occasionally need to take a small flat file to the side of the pads to get the pad spring to sit correctly to make the "spring sandwich" when mounting pads back into caliper

seems there is some excess paint / material there on occasions..
