As of this morning, I was informed my services are no longer needed. I have enough saved up to live quite comfortably and I have reliable seasonal work and a part time gig as soon as June. What should I do?

I was leaning towards the road trip idea myself. Any suggestions? Eastern Sierras will most certainly be included...especially now that there's snow.

After much discussion, the girlfriend and I are packing up and hitting the road in late March. The game plan as of now is to start on the eastern Sierras, go for Mt. Tyndall and Williamson, snowboard in Mammoth, climb some ice in Lee Vining, snowboard Tahoe, visit friends in the bay area then Redding, then it's off to Oregon for friends, family, and Mt. Hood. Rainier is a possibility, but we're going to play that one by ear. Any must sees along our way?

snowboard off the top of Mt Shasta, The Hotlum Wintun Glacier is a blast with almost zero crevasse danger. 14000 feet down to 8000' of pure fun. Playing with your ice gear on the Seracs to the right on the way up is also a blast

Bend, Oregon and Smith Rock. Also, Bishop is a great place to hang out for a bit that time of year. If you're into the whole grand adventure thing, hike from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney.
