Hey guys, Need some assistance. Someone has just dropped off a shiny new Demo frame for me to build. Not being a Spech dealer I saw the BB setup and his Saint cranks and so it was a no go for those. Before I start doing a ton of research I don't have time to do while im at work since we are going full on atm, does anyone know if there is an adapter for a regular crank set on this? what are his options? Thanks for any help on the matter

The frame should have come with some plastic press in bb30 adapters that will work with the Saint cranks with one 2.5mm spacer on each side. That's how I set mine up when I had the Saint's. Unfortunately, the plastic adapters like to creak and self extract so I would just order the e13 cranks and their press fit bb30 bottom bracket and make your life easy.

Your shop doesn't know what a bb30 is?

I'll be avoiding that one for sure.

How did you come to that conclusion???? Considering his shop is in Eastern Canada I don't he'll feel to bad.
RM is an a good place to get a quick answer when in a pinch.
Relax and don't be a douche.

I was not brought anything but a frame I have never laid eyes on and a set of saint cranks. So it was a question. I know what a BB30 is you douche. It took 30 seconds about to type out that paragraph while dealing with 2 groups of customers and had my answer when I came back in an hour. Thank you NAYR and Dave/Biffff.

The thread can end now

The BB30 standard has been around for some time now. I couldn't possibly imaging bringing a $2400 Demo frame, or worse a $6000 road frame, into a bike shop that doesn't even recognize the technology. Let alone knows how to install it properly.

All I can think of is an expensive carbon road bike with summer-time bike builder pounding the cups in with a hammer.

Jesus f***... I know what BB30 is. I simply asked if there was an adapter for the f***ing demo for a 83mm saint crank because I just didn't have time to look it up and the guy who brought it in didn't bring me all the parts needed. My shop is plenty tech savy and I've built up many BB30 frames with BB30 cranks. Thank you ride monkey

For the record.............If you work at a bike shop you are no longer allowed to ask questions on RM. It is expected that you allready know everything. If you continue to ask questions on RM every E-tard on RM will slander your shop, and you will be sent to eternal exile on Pink Bike.
