Excellent News. 4 1/2 years ago Ruth was diagnosed and had surgery to remove an agressive stage 4 malignant melanoma. The only reason she is still around is that the treatment (aside from surgery) is high dose interferon, the same drug she was/is on for MS. The MS drug regimine kept the melanoma from metastasizing thoughout her body. Today we got the results of her PET Scan. No signs of Cancer in her body, six more months and she is off cancer watch.
