If I were to chose between the 2 I would go with the specialized. Are you looking at the cromo or aluminum frame? Just wanderingwhy are these two your only choice? I don't know anything aboutthe trek the chainstays look I bit long but have never been one or even seen one up close to tell you the truth. There are a lot of peoplethat ride p bikes around here and they seem happy with them seemto last too.

If those are the only 2 you are considering then definitely go with the P2. Trek and dirt jumping are not synonymous.

To be fair, neither is Specialized and dirt jumping but they have had the P bikes around for a decade now and people do get down on them.

I ride an older P2 2005 P2(same geometry as the new ones, but very different components) and I think it's great for djs. I don't think it's a great bike for street/park riding, mostly because of the low bb and slack headtube angle. I find it's hard to manual and bunnyhop on it. I find it really stable, easy to carve turns, forgiving if you don't land perfectly. I also find the frame bulletproof. I've wrecked hard many times, broken components, and I've never doubted the frame.
