well, I'm sure gwin wont go any faster and troy will make up those 10 seconds come WC race time like the RM pundits are suggesting :D

but seriously, I'm going to be so pumped if gwin does the same thing he did last season again.

I'm sure he's got more in the tanks, thats what the results last year looked like too, most people using it as a gauge and gwin going all out.

That's how I also see it, as always with these small races before the WC season. I'm pretty sure Brosnan could've went all out and risked something one week before the big race, what's the point though at some local race? Having said that, next weekends race its going to be a 3 horse race between Gwin, Minaar and Hannah.

good to see Neko up there! hope this is his break out season. Im sure brosnan wasnt pinning but he is usually not one to hold anything back regardless of what race it is. it it looks like Gwin is about where I thought he would be.

It was odd to see see parts of teams racing.

troy but no sam
josh but no steve or greg
Rude but no graves.....

With such a big space between WC events everyone will treat this similar to the World Champs. They'll have time to recover instead of playing safe for overall points.
Was that Gwin's Playing safe over everyone else's safe?:D

How bout the Hannahs, looking good. Hope Sik Mik's stem is a strong one!

Definitely. It seemed like he was frustrated last year not producing the results that he was capable of, which led to weird mistakes. And, it with Leov also on the podium, it looks like they've been working hard as a team.

I'm predicting a one horse race between gwin
I dunno, I reckon Gwin could give him a run for his money. There's also the possibility of Gwin staging an upset.

Let's keep in mind Brosnan has been beating Hill in the Aussie series, but no other big names really, so it's not that big a deal (maybe says more about Hill than Brosnan?). On a pedally track he's still going to struggle against the stupidly powerful riders like Gwin and Hannah - those guys are monsters. I'd give him better odds later in the year on some of the more tech, less pedally/power-based tracks.

Regardless, SO stoked for the WC season to start again! Can't wait!

His Aus results don't suggest that.
He only race the first round of the series as far as I'm aware* and i believe he was top five. This was before he had really started his training also.

*he may have raced national champs

I like graves, I think he's one of the best riders on the planet - he's at the top of the field in whatever discipline he applies himself to, but I don't think he's going to suddenly come in and take the DH field by storm. Minnaar, gee, peat, gwin, and mick have all distinguished themselves when it comes to power output and stomping a DH track that has some pedally bits. I don't think graves is going to be able to beat them at the power output on the pedal sections, and I don't think he'll be able to beat them out on the DH bits either.

also, who's the junior who was around 9 seconds from the podium?

I'm sorry but anyone who doesn't like RedBull Cola is just plum crazy. I think the name scared a lot of people off. The product itself is one of the healthiest, simplest most refined beverages out there. You can pronounce the ingredients and hell, you can even taste them, because it's a real old-tymey cola and not some perverse corn-syrup vehicle. Long live the RBC!
I had my first can last night and I have to say I 100% agree with you! :thumb:

Coming back from injury and having less pressure on him to perform might actually help Gee a bit in a weird way.

Speedy recovery to the guy

not in Whistler anymore :/
I wouldn't bad-mouth Red Bull, they pump a ton of cash into our sport. Without them, we wouldn't be watching live video of the World Cup races this year for one....
i think you get it all wrong. i didn't critize red bull for the high price, just an idea why it doesn't sell that well compaired with other cola brands. in the end it's only the ingredients and the taste that differs it from the other sugar waters...

redbull doesn't sell that well?

I guess that's news to the guys at redbull, and everybody else in the world too.

They are not direct competitors to the standard sodas. If they were they would have never broken through like they did. At the same time they are leaders of the energy drink market. It's like criticizing Giant for not selling more dh bikes because if they had engines they could sell as well as mx bikes.

Apparently Brook will be on Trek next year. Dunno if that's good news. He could improve riding with Gwin but he also could stand in Gwins shadow like Leov.

Oooooooooooh, I feel like I'm reading a "InTouch" or "US" or something. Is this because they were seen bar humping together yesterday in Austria? Scandalous!

Will aaron gwin and brook mcdonald be sharing more than just airtime next year? Maybe @teamrumours will be tweeting again after world cup finals.
Doesn't sound like someone pulled that out of their asses and from the teams perspective it would make sense.
